all in one day. ;p Stress eating at its worst! The good news is I just got word from my graduate chair that I am finally approved for graduation. Hooray!

My Awesome List

I enjoyed Swizzlepop’s list and wanted to make one of my own:

My awesome list (a list of things about my life that are awesome!):

1.  I have a wonderful husband. I love being married to him more and more each day.

2.  I have the cutest dog ever. He is always happy to see me and and he is well-behaved for the most part.

3. I have a great job that I love and I am good at what I do.

4. We have a nice house with great neighbors on all sides.

5. Even though I have a list of many things I want, I don’t really need anything.

6. I am generally healthy.

7. I am also graduated with a Master’s Degree.

8. I have a great family and extended family, including in-laws.

9. I have pretty great hair, when I actually take the time to style it.

10. I have a lot of hobbies that I consider talents; music, dancing, photograhpy…

11. I have been able to travel and see some pretty cool places in this world.

12. I like to learn and to teach others.

13. I think I am a good friend.

14.  Even though I’m not at goal, I have maintained a 20 lb weight loss through a stressful year.

15. I set goals and reach them.

Countdown

9 days until all my graduate work must be submitted ><

10 more days of teaching :)

19 days until Graduation!

27 days until my friends and I spend a girl’s weekend in Chicago

After that I am looking forward to a little “me” time which will include a renewed dedication to counting points, some experimentation in the kitchen, getting reacquainted with exercise and finally LOSING again. I am so glad I lost some weight last summer because the stress of this school year would surely have done me in if I hadn’t gotten into some better habits. I am lucky to have maintained despite the craziness and the slacking off. I will be back on plan faithfully and back in the losing mode very soon!

What I’ve Been Doing…

I can’t believe that an entire school year has almost gone by! It’s like the last 8 months are just a huge blur. I haven’t effectively lost any weight this entire year but I have maintained my 20 lb loss from last summer. I am excited to say that when the school year is over I will not be going back to work full time, and I will also be done with my own classes (graduating with an M.Ed in May! :) ) This will give me the time to recommit to exercising and tracking points and focus on all the other little projects I’ve not been able to get to for a long time. I’m hoping to lose another 20lbs this summer which will put me almost at goal. (I’m also trying to talk hubby into another Hawaii vacation which is good motivation for sticking to plan ;) )

Lately, I’ve been just trying to stay afloat which is why my blog has been somewhat neglected. I did find myself home earlier than normal this afternoon. Even though I had a million things to do, I decided to grind some wheat and make my own whole wheat bread. I’ve tried this a few times before. It has yet to come out perfectly, but it’s still edible and smells great when its cooking. I haven’t actually worked out the points for it. I used 100% whole wheat flour plus the recipe calls for a oats, a little molasses and shortening. It’s whole grain so it can’t be too bad right? (Assuming I only have a piece or two and not half a loaf in one sittting.)bread1.jpgbread3.jpgbread2.jpg
