. . . that is the question. Thanks for those who responded with their blogs and comments about Core. I’ll be honest, I’m not fully committed right now, but I do want to try it. I just think it’s going to take some planning and recipe gathering which I won’t have time for until I am on the downhill of this semester. For now I’m sorta still doing Flex.. I’ve just been lazy the past 2 weeks about journaling. I need to get my butt in gear - whether it’s Flex or Core, I just need to DO IT!

I think I have the winter blahs… I am 6 weeks into the semester, tired of snow and wishing I could hurry up and finish my graduate project so I can get my M.Ed in May. Besides the fact that I just feel lazy during the few spare moments of my day that aren’t scheduled, I am also tired of counting points. I haven’t journaled in close to a week and consequently the scale isn’t budging either. I know I need to recommit, but I’m struggling to find the motivation to do so. I’ve thought about doing Core, but my shoulder devil tells me it will be too “hard.” I really depend on frozen meals and pre-packaged everything and I feel like I’d have to find a lot of time for cooking if I tried Core. True?
Well, I’m going to journal all my points today… If any of you out there reading are on Core, would you mind linking your blog? Maybe some inspiration will help me over the hump. Thanks

This is what we woke up to this morning!
The mutt LOVES the snow and had a great time playing in it while we dug out.
You can see in this picture how deep it was. This is piled up on our patio table:

After shoveling our driveway and helping 2 neighbors shovel, I think I got my activity for the day. We’ve been getting some great snow lately. I went snowboarding last Friday. I have had sort of a love-hate relationship with snowboarding. I love it because it’s fun and something my husband and I can enjoy together. I like the snow and the mountains. I have hated it, too, because I’m not very good at it. Carrying extra weight has made it difficult to do, too. When you stop on a snowboard it is almost impossible to stand still unless you are at a perfectly flat spot so usually you end up sitting down. Getting back up is the hard part and can be very tiring after doing it multiple times. It’s also hard to buckle your bindings when you are already reaching over a spare tire, but have added layers and padding from your snow clothes. I was surprised what a difference I’ve felt this season with just the 20lbs gone. I’m still no expert, but I felt comfortable in my snow gear and could easily bend over and buckle my bindings. It was great. Luckily I will be going again this Friday and I’m looking forward to practicing my “mad skills”
As far as weight loss goes, I haven’t been tracking my points very well this week. I ended up eating out several times because of my wacked ou schedule. Luckily I’m not into football so there is no Superbowl Party with tempting snacks to deal with; just a quiet night at home watching the next snow storm roll in and hoping it will lead to a school closure in the morning
