Today was my long day - 12.5 hours at work. My first class is at 9am and my last ends at 9:30. Although I have a 1 hr break at lunch and a 3 hr break in the afternoon, it makes for a very long day to start my week. On a positive note, I received no less than 4 compliments on my outfit today. WOW! I pulled the sweater out of the back of the closet. It is a size M and I haven’t worn it in at least 3 or 4 years. I thought, “what the heck” and tried it on. Surprisingly, it fit. I was complimented by 2 workers, my boss, and the English teacher down the hall. Here’s the sweater:

Eating was OK today. I’m trying to get serious again about points. I do pretty well throughout the day, but when I get home after long days like today, I am famished and end up snacking myself into oblivion. Here’s today’s damage:

AJ tagged me!
Read up if you’re not familiar with tagging -
The Rules:
1-Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog
2-Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird
3-Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs
4- Let them know they are TAGGED by leaving a comment on their blog
Seven facts about me:
- I have had a lot of jobs in my life - somewhere between 15 and 20. I’ve lost count. The longest job I have had was when I taught elementary school - 3.5 years. The shortest job lasted only 2 hours (telemarketing, ugh!) I’m really not a flighty employee - some jobs were seasonal, some I quit because I moved and some I just hated. The jobs I’m in now (sign language interpreting), I love, and plan to do forever.
- I was a volunteer at the 2002 Winter Olympics where I chauffeured celebrities performing in the opening and closing ceremonies. Some of the people I drove were Kristi Yamaguchi, Katarina Witt, Charlotte Church and Josh Groban.
- I have never mowed a lawn.
- I am relatively healthy and have only been in the hospital twice - to remove tonsils and inflected lymph nodes as a child.
- My husband just turned 30 and I will be 30 next year. Some people say that I don’t look my age, but since I have found 5 white hairs, I don’t believe them.
- I like dogs more than most people. My black lab/dane mix named Indy is the love of my life. Don’t worry, my husband already knows.
- My unfulfilled dreams are: travel to Europe, own a cabin in the mountains, learn Spanish, play guitar, interpret a national conference, and have a baby.

… and there are 2 days left in my week. I’ve been trying to stick to my point targets, but with Halloween this week and the cheesecake someone brought to work today I’ve used up my flex points. TOM isn’t helping with cravings and weight gain either! I as up this week 1 lb, which I expected but I don’t want the scale moving the wrong direction 2 weeks in a row again. I put on my new jeans I got a few weeks ago today and they felt awful. It’s amazing what 2 or 3 lbs can do. ><
If I can make it through the rest of this semester working my crazy schedule and finishing my last 2 graduate classes without gaining back the 20lbs I’ve lost it will be a miracle. I’m glad there are so many of you out in blog-land doing well; it’s you and your successes that are keeping me motivated.
