Ok, the rest of the world is talking about her, so why not me too?
Actually, I don’t really care for her music and I thought the performance on Sunday night was borderline porn. That aside, are people really calling the girl fat?! I mean, I am not a fan of anyone (regradless of their size) wearing sparkly underwear around in public, but COME ON! I would love to be her size (oh boo-hoo, she’s probably a size 4 now, instead of a zero.) No wonder we have a country full of young women with anorexia and other body image issues! Sheesh! OK, I promise never to mention Britney again on my blog- just had to rant about that for second.
Today was a pretty good day despite being at work all day. Lunch was catered Subway Sandwiches and potluck side dishes and desserts. I managed to stay away from everything, but a small sugar cookie. Here is the menu:

Well, I am up almost a pound, but that was to be expected after my 4 days in a row of 40+ points, plus it is TOM. Today was a better day foodwise and I already have tomorrow planned. Although it’s one of my long days on campus (11 hrs), I will pack both dinner and lunch and some snacks.
I had hoped to be at my 10% by now, but it keeps eluding me. <sigh> I know I will get there, but it’s a bummer to be at a plateau. However, I did wear a size L pair of exercise pants last night at dance and thought they looked not-half-bad. Up til now everything I’ve danced in has been an XL. Also, the XL tshirt I wore last night looked frumpy, so it’s probably safe to say I am officially an L and not an XL - woo! I also wore a size 14 skirt today that hasn’t fit in a while. I’ll take the successes where I can get them I suppose.

Today started off well enough, but by the end of the day I’m up to 42 points. Why oh why?!
Today is my longest day at work (9am - 9:20pm). I packed snacks and a Smart Ones for lunch and dinner. I also packed a Costco muffin thinking that would round out my points for the day.
Well, then I get home (almost 10pm) and hubby hasn’t eaten and asks me to fix him something. (I know - why isn’t he fixing me something …) ANYWAY, I heat him up some frozen tilapia, then procedeed to eat some myself and another slice of my evil breadmaker bread! AAaahh!!
THEN I look up the Costco muffin points on dwlz.com. My flavor isn’t listed, but the ones that are are at least 15 POINTS!! Oh, my gosh, these muffins are EVIL! No, they are beyond evil! I knew they weren’t low points, but 15?!?! I was thinking 8 or 10, but 15!? Oi.. Tomorrow has to be better because I don’t think it could be worse. At least tomorrow is Irish Dance day. Wish me luck.

Well today was just as bad as yesterday.
I tried to make bread in the breadmaker again today and it turned out pretty well.. so well that I had to go and eat 3 pieces with margerine and jam! >< Then I had dinner and brownies with ice cream at the in-laws. I definitely didn’t have the flex points left for the week. I still haven’t gotten back on plan 100% since my summer pitfalls, but this week IS IT! I don’t have to go out of town, there are no holidays, and no potluck work meetings. There will be no excuse this week! I want my 10%!

2 days straight of crappy eating…
It started yesterday when I made orange and cinnamon rolls for our department meeting at work. They were yummy and I had one of each. That was followed by a family reunion campout where the food was all provided. Between s’mores, greasy hamburgers and breakfast sausage, chips, and soda there were not a lot of healthy options. So of course I decided to just round out the weekend with ham fried rice and sweet & Sour chicken at our local Chinese joint and popcorn and root beer at the movies
I’m feeling yucky and not even wanting to think about how many points yesterday and today could total.
Hope everyone’s weekend is going better than mine.

I am .5 lb away from my 10%!
I knew I’d get there .. even if it will be a month later than I’d hoped. I’m thrilled to be down nearly 20 lbs, but one thing I’m scared about is cutting my points. I’m following an older WW plan that goes by weight, so I think I’m supposed to drop to 22 points per day when I reach 175lbs. Can anyone confirm this?
Today went pretty well point-wise and earned some AP’s on a 3 mile walk/hike and made grilled turkey steaks for dinner. I also tried to make some wheat bread in a breadmaker I inherited over the weekend. It didn’t rise much, but was still edible, although dense. I used half whole wheat flour (that I ground myself) and 1/2 all purpose white flour. I think the problem could have been the yeast. It had been in my fridge for a while so maybe it was old. Any suggestions from anyone who uses breadmakers?
I’m exhausted so headed to bed.

That’s right. . . Irish dance has started back up. Yay!
It is such a motivation for me. It’s exercise, but the fun kind. (I just can’t get into jogging or spinning classes …) Improving my dancing is what started me on this whole weight loss journey anyway. (See my hideous before picture at the St.Patrick’s day parade…) Anyway, just a quick note to say today was a good day on plan; Hope everyone else’s was too!

My routine has been out of whack for about 5 weeks now and I am finding it hard to get motivated to start following my plan regularly again. I have been lax about counting points after being out of town so much. With my new job, I haven’t worked in exercise yet. I am exhausted after the first week of school because of my 2 very long days and spending all my free time catching up from being out of town and preparing for these classes I haven’t taught before. I went over on flex points by nearly 30 this week :0
Irish dance starts up again on Tuesday. Hopefully that will help jump start me on the exercise. Here’s todays intake
