Families are evil…

Posted by zazu on September 24th, 2007

Ok, not really. I love my family dearly, but honestly, can we have a get together that doesn’t involve calories? I suppose not. It started last night when we had a family get together for my baby nephew’s church blessing. (He’s 8 weeks old and an adorable chunk!) The party involved pork tacos, peach cobbler and nacho dip. It was delish, but also disastrous.

Follow that up with tonight we went out to the best ice cream parlor for my sister in law’s birthday. I planned to be good .. I tried to be good .. and well, then .. it just happened. GRrrr! I feel sick to my stomach and not at all happy about what I ate. I need to get things together. I was rocking through May and June, did ok in July, and things just haven’t been the same since August. I need to get into the routine and STICK WITH IT. I haven’t been working out and I’ve been lazy about journaling. NO more! Here’s today’s journal:

I would do anything to fully understand why time with family doesn’t also mean keeping up the good eating habits. Some day, I will better understand this…and I’m sure I’ll blog all about it when I do! You’ll get back on track! Don’t worry!
