Weigh In day. Ugh. I’m not looking forward to it this week. I had set myself a mini goal of being in Onderland by the end of April. I was so close last week…now I don’t think I made it!
Monday morning I stepped on my scale an weighed 199! Woohoo! I thought I had made it. Tuesday morning I stepped on my scale and weighed 202! What’s up with THAT! That was more than last weeks WI! I buckled down and made sure I stuck to plan on Tuesday and Wednesday. But, I have not stepped back on the scale yet. I don’t expect much from it. I’m just feeling very disappointed. I’ll drag my sorry butt in to WW…and just keep going whatever the outcome. I mean I would have anyway.
On the bright side, if I’m not in Onderland yet, technically, I don’t have to be until tomorrow morning. My WI is at 10:30 AM today. That gives me until tomorrow morning to make it! Since I don’t count the “next day” until I awake. I’ll even sleep in if I have to! LOL Only, I don’t think my hubby and daughter will let me. It’s not like it’s the weekend or anything.

It’s been a long time since I wrote in here. Things have been going just fine….just terribly busy! Sheesh! And, since there haven’t been any great strides in the weight loss area, no redd banner days….I haven’t posted in here. But, that is not what I intended when I set this up! I intended to use this blog to store my thoughts, as well as my weight loss progress. Because, mostly I am trying to lose weight for my well-being, and there is far more involved in well-being than a number on the scale.
So, anyway, I’m back.
As far as my well-being goes….I’m doing okay so far! My weight is slowly but surely going down. I had set a goal to make it to onederland by the end of April. Well, I need to lose 1.3 pounds to JUST make it. I think I can do at least that by the end of April! LOL
I have been feeling great and find I look forward to doing more physical things than I used to.
I noticed MOST of the food inmy kitchen has slowly, over time, become “good” food. I can open my refridgerator and choose just aobut anything in there! Well, on WW you can anyway, but, I mean that I don’t even have to limit myself to only a taste of whatever it is! So, that’s cool!
I’ve been having an AWFUL time sleeping. That is driving me crazy! I wake up most nights between 2:30 AM and 3:00 AM. It can take an hour or more to go back to sleep. If I read, I fall to sleep then wake up to turn off the light and am wide awake once again. It’s a vicious cycle! One night last week, I awoke at 3:30 AM and was so wide awake I just got out of bed and went downstairs to my sewing room to work on my daughter’s dance costumes! OY! I get up at 5:30 AM anyway to see my hubby off and drive my daughter to school at 7 AM.
Anywho….today is a lovely day. I’ve got a stew cooking in the crock pot, some whole wheat bread baking in the bread machine, my chores are done (including mopping the kitchen floor!) I’ve done a workout and am about to head outdoors for some yard work. Tonight is my 14 year olds choir concert at the high school. She gets to sing a solo piece and I’m looking forward it!
I hope everybody’s feeling as sunny on the inside as it is outside here today! And, sleep tight tonight!

well……it was only .6 of a pound this week. But, that’s okay…still going in the right direction. Still wearing size 16’s!
Today’s meeting featured a cooking demo by Chef Tim. Florine’s personal chef! He has the sexiest deep voice! Like Barry White. LOL He prepared a simple chicken paprikkish(sp?). It was simple and delicious. Chef Tim has a very good sense of humor and shared some little tidbits about Florine. She sounds quite charming and I’d love to meet her one day.
But, that’s that….I’m kinda pooped out tonight and brain dead as well. Not much to say. I think I will call it day! Sleep well my Weight Watchen friends!

When I returned home from my workout this morning, I couldn’t BEAR the thought of puting on those jeans again. It was so sunny and glorious, I wanted to wear my capris. So, I pulled the box out from under the bed. In this box there were capris in size 18, pants and capris in size 16 and 14. When did I last wear a 14? I can’t even remember. Anyway, I pulled out all the 18’s as that is what I am wearing now. Earlier today, I mentioned in a comment that my 18’s were loose but 16’s tight still. Well! I thought I’d try on a pair of the 16’s. What do you know? They actually fit well! Thinking that was only that pair, I tried on another pair of 16’s. All of them fit! a few of them were a tad snug. In the end, I thought I might just keep wearing the 18’s until I lost a bit more poundage. But, then on second thought, if I wore the 16’s, especially the ones that were a tad snug…..it would remind me to make good food choices!
So, here I sit at my computer in a pair of size 16 capris that I have not fit in for 3 years! I am SO happy.
Oh yeah, I remembered to pickup a new battery for my scale today too. Now I just have to remember to take it upstairs and install it!

Finally, at last, we had a bee-u-tee-full sunny day here in Michigan! After Church this morning, I spent some time in the kitchen prepping my dinner for tonight and I baked an Angel Food cake to top with fresh strawberries for dessert. I like to make some dessert treat for the family on Sundays. It ’s the one day of the week we are all home for dinner together at the same time. (Except DD away at college.) After I had the dinner prepping done, I got outdoors for a bit of yard tidying. It was warm enough to open the window just a bit to let in some fresh air. Can’t wait until I can open them wide!
I ate well Friday and Saturday. Until I went to the high school play Saturday night and caved to a bag of M & M’s. Today, I have just felt hungry all day. Seem to be craving carbs too. I ate only allowed stuff, but, did not pay the usual attention to portions. Feel kind of fluffy tonight. Better get back on plan tomorrow! No more of this falderol! WI is on Wednesday, I can still move the scale down. Which reminds me….I need to pick up a battery for my scale at home!

The weight is still coming off! Woohoo! This morning was my WI and I was down 2 more pounds. That’s 12.4 in 8 weeks. That’s roughly 1.5 lbs per week. Would’ve averaged higher, but I gained 3 lbs during that time too. But, I got back on plan!
It just seemed so easy last week. I don’t know why. But, I have found I have the will to look at something I normally would have devoured (like the busted up chocolate bunny on the table!) and tell myself, I’ve worked too hard for this loss. “Be gone ye broken bunny! Ye’ll not be riding my hips!” Meager though my weight loss is thus far…..I will NOT go back up!
So, with that said, I guess I have some April goals to establish for myself.

I meant to make a remark about this in my earlier post. Has anyone else noticed since they’ve changed what they eat their hair has changed? I swear my hair has gotten much nicer since I’ve started dieting! It’s shinier, bouncier and brighter! I was getting ready this morning and thought, “Man! I’m going on a solid week of good hair days!” Too bad I don’t have anywhere to go show it off! LOL I have not had a recent hair cut, changed my shampoo or anything. I suppose it could be the weather….but, I prefer to think of it as my first NSV resulting from healthier eating habits! So, hairs to NSVs! Hip Hip Hooray!
(PS. Let’s NOT talk about those mysterious facial hairs. Eeeeeeuuuuwwwwww.Where’s my tweezers?)

It’s Monday. DD is back to school and I can return to my regularly scheduled programming! I am a “list” person. I can barely get through my week without a list! LOL Even then I don’t always do so well. But, I try…..So, on Monday, I make my list! Today, is clean out the fridge, take inventory of it’s contents (leftovers and such), plan my menu and hit the grocery store. I plan my menu by first filling in my weekly calendar with DD events. (I’m so pathetic, I only have WW, exercise and a few school and church related meetings for myself.)
This week is the first of her softball games and the practices switch from immediately after school to a 5 - 7 PM slot, except on game days and those are all from 4 - 7 or 5:30 - 7. Everyday this week except Saturday. Makes dinner kinda complicated. She’ll have to eat when she returns, late! She doesn’t like to eat much of anything before a game. So, anyway…….
I did stay on plan over the weekend. It was pretty easy actually. I seem to have found my groove with food at least. I afraid I cheat and don’t count points. I’ve done WW so many times, I kinda have an instinct as to what I should eat. I do however measure portions. I know that when I get in to trouble with my weight loss, it is usually because of portions. But, I have found, that sometimes I feel full before I’ve even finished my allowed portion.
I had a pleasurable Sunday making a big pot of tomatoe sauce for dinner and the freezer. I also made fresh whole wheat bread for the family and a yummy green salad. I love to spend Sunday afternoon slicing, dicing and cooking in the kitchen. Sunday is usually the only day I have uninterrupted by carpools and everybody is home for dinner that day. Except the DD away at college.
I put on some tunes and dance like a crazy woman. (At least until somebody comes in the kitchen and then I compose myself.)
I did snitch a few pieces of the chocolate bunny my hubby so kindly busted up and so generously left in a dish in the middle of the kitchen island. But, honestly, my stomach revolted as the chocolate hit the bottom. Ugh! It didn’t even taste as good as I expected. So, that was enough of that.
Our grocery had the best tasting red grapes I’ve had all winter. And, they were on sale for .99 a pound. They were so sweet they had to be bad for you! They were like candy to me. I hope they’re on sale again this week. Guess I’ll see when I get there. Our local store’s ads don’t come until late this afternoon with our mail. I guess I should change my shopping days to Tuesday due to that. Because I do try to also utilize what’s on sale when I plan my menu.
So, that’s my weekend and my Monday plans….some of them…..I’ll be off to workout now! Happy day to ya!

Feeling a bit better today. Still miss my Trixster. I can’t get used to here not following me about or seeing her black nose as soon as I open the door from the garage. I’d go get a new pup today, but, hubby is not ready. I never realized how quiet the house is without a dog!
Anyway…today was my WI. I made it to my 10 pound loss finally! Woohoo. I weighed in at 205. So, I’m setting my sights on making it to onderland next. It’s so close I can taste it! The odd thing is, for having lost 10 pounds, I have not moved down a size in my pants. Ugh! 18 is very loose in the waist, not so much in the butt. 16 is still too snug. Boy, that Adam and Eve sure messed up a good thing back there in that garden!
