License to Cruise

Oh yes……tomorrow is the mock triathlon with all the Divas from the OC and Long Beach, and the physical therapist has cleared me to go at my pace.  And you know what that pace is?  Fast!  (Well, for me….compared to the rest of the world, it’s probably a little slow)

Anyways, I’m a bit of a nervous wreck about this.  We’ve tackled one or two sports at a time in practice, but never all 3 together.  Tomorrow it’s a 20-minute swim, 45 minute bike, and 30 minute run……more time than I’ll need for a full-distance sprint.  So I’m hoping it all goes well and I get an idea of how to pace myself and make it through my races with a little left over for that last mile run! 

I have to say that today I’m not really thinking about dieting.  Tomorrow morning will take a bit of energy, so I’m going to eat some good carbs this afternoon and evening so I have something to burn in the morning.  I had a great week, but hubby came home last night and we had Mexican.  I demolished 3 grilled chicken tacos (no cheese), the rice, and a ton of chips……aside from feeling crappy, I think I needed it.

 So, that’s my update.  Going to go out now, enjoy the day, and hope I make it through tomorrow without getting struck by a sting ray.  Or car.  :)
