I am not a hugely religious person but Lent always seems like a good time to re-focus and try and do something positive. I know usually people give things up for sacrice, but it can also be a sacrifice to do something new in a positive light. So here they are, my goals for Lent:
1. 15 minutes of morning meditation
2. Post my menus & re-focus on my healthy lifestyle changes
3. OK, I am giving up something. NO POP!!!!
Anyone else have any goals for Lent?

Just wanted to let everyone know that my test came back ok. They were to test for cysts on my ovaries & since DH & I are TTC, we wanted to make sure they weren’t anything to be concerned about. The Dr thinks they are just ovulatory and they will go away once you get your cycle, but if my cycles become far apart again, I think I will go get a 2nd opinion. So, sorry if that was TMI, but it is an update.
I have been doing well staying on plan though. I bought some new exercise DVDs so I am anxious to try them out. I will post more later but just wanted to jump back on since things are back to normal routine.

since I posted to my blog. This has been such a crazy week at work. I have been tracking my daily menu, even though I haven’t been posting them. I’m happy to say that the scale is back at my pre-holiday weight and still moving. I have been really following the Core plan and the results are showing. I have still been keeping up with the exercise challenge although I always forget to e-mail my results. I am going to try and catch that up tomorrow.
I also had a Dr’s appointment. Actually an ultrasound. No, I’m not pregnant, not yet anyway. I have been having some pelvic pain and the ultrasound will hopefully be able to tell what is causing it. Hopefully by Monday or Tuesday, I’ll know for sure.
I’m going to spend some time catching up with everyone’s blog. Take care!

I have really come to enjoy working out. I realized why last night. I was on my treadmill, doing a course of walking and jogging, and every time I made it through a jogging section, I felt stronger and stronger. By the end of the 30 minutes, I really felt great and alive. There is something about exercise that has given me a total confidence boost everytime I can finish a workout sesssion and push myself a little further.
Total for the week so far: 105 min cardio and 20 minutes pilates.

Okay, the scale was a huge bummer this morning (check out my daily menu) but I guess I need to keep in mind it is TOM, which hopefully is a huge contributor.
I did another 20 minutes on the treadmill this am, which brings my total for the week to 75 minutes of cardio. I am going to try and get some sit ups in before I go to bed. Right now we are having terrible thunderstorms and tornado warnings, which is so bizzare for January. Not that the weather is any excuse, but any plans I had of doing anything went out the window as soon as the storm showed up. Hopefully the storm warnings end soon otherwise I can see a very unrestful night of sleep ahead.
