Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

What is everyone doing to stay OP today?

I did get my workout in this morning.  I made sure I packed my lunch/healthy snacks, but I did indulge in a few chocolate treats today.  I was planning on having a glass of wine as well, so I am sure I am going a little over my daily points while being on Core.  I really would like to get in loss mode.  Especially since DH & I are TTC.  It would be nice to lose another 5-10 pounds but I can honestly say I have put little effort in it.  While I have been getting in my workouts, too many non-Core foods. 

I am going to try and get to a meeting on Saturday and I am at least hoping that I am below where I was for my January weigh in.  I need to start going to the meetings every week because I do enjoy them.  It seems like every Tuesday night, we have had snow for the past three weeks. 

I did get my Turbo Jam DVDs from my infomercial purchase.  I only did the introduction where they teach you the moves and then the 20 minute session.  For the past three days, I have felt every muscle in my upper back (think upper love handles) and obliques.  I think by tomorrow I should be ready to do it all over again. 

Only 9 more days until we leave for Cabo.  I am a little nervous about the food.  For one thing, the last time I traveled was to Vegas and I got food poisoning.  I think that experience is still haunting me.  I also think that I have a little concern for the water issue.  I am sure being on a resort, this is probably not an issue but still stems from food poisoning.  I think I will be good about making good choices and I have really scaled back the drinking so I am hoping not to gain while we are there.  They also have a fitness room so I am planning on working out every day!!!

Okay, enough babbling.  Time for dinner.  Have a great night!

Monday Blahs

Not because I have to go to work but because I am a bit under the weather and I leave for Cabo in less than two weeks from today and would like to be in good health!  I decided to stay home from work and chill today so that I can recover.  I am actually feeling tons better already but I knew if I headed into work, there are about 4 sick people who refuse to stay home.  I don’t understand that because our workplace has a pretty lenient policy on sick time.  Basically you can take it unless your supervisor feels you are abusing it.  Since I don’t feel the need to have perfect work attendance, and I guess since I can dial in from home, I always feel like staying home is my best bet when I am feeling under the weather.  Although, today I have no intention of dialing in.

So, with some extra sleep under my belt, I am going to try and organganize a few things around the house and hopefully come back this afternoon and work on this blog that I feel I have been neglecting for a while.  Oh yeah, & catch up with others on the community too!

Keeping on track

Well, I thought today was going to pan out to a better food day.  It was until I had a chocolate attack.  Oh well, it is noted and I am moving on.  I guess next time I don’t need to be a piggy and could have just one dessert instead of two. 

Only 17 more days until our vacation in Cabo.  I am truly hoping to be back in the 140’s very soon, like before we leave for vacation.  I’ve come to the realization that I will probably never truly be happy in how I look in a bathing suit.  Wearing a size 6 does not mean that you are happy with every aspect of your body to really think you look good in a bathing suit.  I also have realized that I am comfortable enough with how far I have come in my weight loss journey that I am not going to let it stop me from having a good time by the pool and enjoying myself. 

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday.  Work has been extremely boring.  I have been trying to catch up on a lot of work and the winter blahs have finally hit.  I would love to see the sunshine.  I think that would truly help my mood.  We have had everything from rain to snow to tornadoes in the last month or so.  This winter has been so unpredictable!
