Saturday..almost over

Well…its been a busy day! My son had a basketball game this morning at 9:00 so I went to that. Then ran a few errands of course. Then I decided to spend most of my day getting some healthy meals made ahead of time for my work week coming up. Last weekend I made Roni’s Spaghetti Squash & Zucchini Lasagna and fell in love with it…so I decided to make a double batch this weekend…and froze some in individual containers to take to work or for quick easy dinners at home! I also made up a quick Crunchy Pea & Cauliflower Salad , which is a recipe I got from my mom…although I changed it a bit to make it more “point friendly”.
I decided to take today as a “rest” day for exercising. I did 5 days in a row last week, so I think I deserve it! Although I did stop by the gym and add my daughter to my plan. Not that we’ll be “workout buddies”…but at least a couple times a week she will go with me! At “almost” 16…i guess I’ll do anything to keep her close to me. Before you know it she’ll be gone! It’s so scarey seeing how grown up she is…and I can still picture her as a baby! It’s gone by so fast! Between school, her job, and her boyfriend (of over a year already)…we barely get to see her. So our gym time together will be nice!
The hubby is gone to the casino to play poker for a bit today, and my son has a couple friends over “hanging out”…mostly playing Nintendo Wii.

I think that is great that you and your daughter can work out together. I hope when my daughter gets old enough. She is only 9 now, that we can work out together. Every once in awhile I will place Dance Dance Revolution with her. It is fun to spend time doing something she enjoys and getting exercise too. I just noticed you are the same height I am and close to the weight I was when I started. I will check back and see your success. Keep it up.
