My weekend went fairly well considering I had my daughter’s birthday party this past Saturday. I didn’t do “great”, but not too bad either. I was in control and not mindlessly eating everything in sight. I was very aware of what and how much I was putting in my mouth and though I topped out at 34.5 points (I’m only supposed to have 19) for the day, I feel I could have actually done much worse. I had the flex points available, so I used them. We have to live a little - it’s not everyday we have parties (THANK GOD - LOL). Not to mention the Spanish food - that’s a real treat. And like I said, I could have done more damage. I enjoyed the food, the drink and the company and I lived life on Saturday. Sunday, back to reality.

I was back on track on Sunday, and even went for an hour walk with my husband. My official weigh in is tomorrow, so I’m crossing fingers and toes that if nothing else I at least maintain.

Have a GREAT day, and thanks for stopping by.

I had a great WW day yesterday. I stayed within points, I drank my water, and even got in some AP’s. I walked for an hour with my DH and DD#2. She was TIRED. Worked out well though because after our walk we came home and she went right to bed. It was already 9 o’clock.

My husband, who also needs to lose some weight, was also very tired and said he was in some pain (he has some health issues due to his weight). But I was proud of him because he set his mind to do it and he did it. I’m hoping he doesn’t give up. He needs to lose at least 100 pounds.

I finally feel more in tune with the program again. I had a lot of false restarts, and this time it feels like it’s sticking. I’m in week 6. I also find that I haven’t been feeling SUPER hungry like I could eat anything in site these last few days. I think my body is finally adjusting to the way I’m SUPPOSED to be eating.

I have my daughter’s birthday party tomorrow, but like I said in a previous post, I have a plan and I think I can handle it. I really want to get to goal this time around.

Thanks for stopping by.

Today is not my official weigh in day, and I know it’s just a fluctuation, but I still can’t help having an extra pep in my step and a smile on my face because it feels good to see 140 something again. :-D I try to keep a good attitude about the scale. I may be a little disappointed if I don’t see a loss or if I see a gain, but that lasts a few seconds. I don’t let it ruin my day if the scale isn’t going my way because I know that I am trying to make the right choices and it’s only a matter of time for the scale to catch up with me. But when I do see the scale going the right way, it just validates that I am indeed making the right choices and going in the right direction and ultimately I will get to goal. One step at a time, one day at a time so long as I keep trying.

Roni’s question of the week was how did you pick your goal number. For me it was a combination of things. First, my WW range is 123 - 128. Second, I remember when I was about 23 I weighed 126 pounds, and I thought I was fat. And I would LOVE to weigh that now. Don’t get me wrong, at 23 that was probably a little chubby(but not fat), but I’m 42 now and so I would be very content at 125. And that’s how I came up with my goal number.

I hope everyone is having a FANTASTIC day, and thanks for stopping by.

:-)

Yee Haw! That’s what my now six year old was saying last night wearing the outfit you see pictured above. She turned six years old today and she is SOOOO excited about it being her birthday. I woke her up with the usual hugs and kisses and sang Happy Birthday to her. She was all cheesy about it! She told me today was a very special day because not only was it her birthday, but her “concert” was tonight as well. This is the reason for the farm outfit - it’s her costume for tonight’s concert. My husband and I are looking forward to it because she has been talking about the concert for so long. We were told she had to be in farm clothes, and she was ADAMANT as to what her outfit should be - right from the top of her head down to her feet. LOL! I had a great time shopping with her for her clothes. She picked the complete outfit on her own.

Her party is on Saturday - major food fest, but I know I can handle it. My mom is catering it for me - LOL! She’s a great cook and there will be a lot of Puerto Rican cuisine. But I am also providing healthy alternatives, so it will be a nice mix and I think I’ll get through it okay.

On the weight loss front, I’m doing good. Staying on plan, getting that water in (my biggest challenge). I’m not exercising - STILL. But I am getting some walks in here and there. My husband and I went for a leisurely walk last night at a park near our house. It was a beautiful evening - the stars were brilliant, the temperature was probably in the 70’s and a gentle breeze was blowing so it was a very nice walk. I love those quiet times together - just walking and listening to the sounds of our voices in animated conversation without the interruption of kids. Not that I mind my kids interrupting - LOVE THEM and would rather hear them than not. But it’s nice to have that one on one time with the husband.

Hope everyone is having a great day, and thanks for stopping by.

Not much going on today. Basically hanging out at the house with hubby, kiddos and dogs! It is beautiful outside! 95 degrees. Almost TOO HOT!!!

I’m doing the usual Sunday chores - you know, laundry, cleaning house, back yard, cleaning the pool. Still too cold for me to jump in, but it sure does look pretty all crystal blue. We cannot wait until it is warm enough to jump in! Great exercise too.

We went to my childrens’ play last night. My son was the lead in the play Clue - he played Wadsworth. My DD#1 likes it behind the scenes and she was doing the lights and sounds for the play. The play was really awesome, and we had a great time watching it.

On the weight front, this weekend has gone surprisingly well in terms of food AND water. Weekends are usually really hard for me to get my water in, but I’ve done great this weekend. I haven’t exercised like I had planned to, but I did get in a few walks this week. I’m hoping to step that up now that the play is over. There has been rehearsals all week and I’ve sort of been the taxi going to and fro so I didn’t get in as many walks as I would have liked to. But there is always next week.

The scale has been really nice to me that last couple of days. I’ve seen a nice decrease from last official weigh in and I’m VERY excited. I’m hoping the number holds true on my official weigh in day on Tuesday. We shall see. Keeping fingers and toes crossed. LOL!

That’s all for now. Hope you are all having a nice weekend, and thanks for stopping by.

I was MUCH happier with this weeks weigh in. Lost 1.2 pounds - that’s more like it! LOL!

Yesterday I went home and heated up leftovers for dinner for DD#2 and myself. The older kids were at theater practice, and the hubby was working. After dinner, DD#2 and I went for a 25 minute walk. I could have gone longer, but she was getting a little tired and I had to get back home to make dinner (not enough leftovers to reheat) for the second shift (kids and hubby). :-) I plan to walk everyday a minimum of 25 minutes with the baby (yeah, she’s still my baby even though she’s turning 6 next week). It’s good exercise for the both of us, and we also get to spend time together and talk while we walk. She got a huge kick out of it.

I also did some ab work in the morning and again before bed. I have the Yoga Booty Ballet DVD’s. I’m not crazy about the DVD to tell you the truth, but there is a segment on abs and I decided to try it. It’s a short segment, like maybe 5 minutes. Which is good because I can get it in before work, and then before bed. The first time I did it, I really didn’t feel anything. I felt like I was wasting my time. I gave it another shot because I thought maybe I was doing the exercise wrong. The second time was a tad more challenging. The third time - OMG!!! The exercises were the same, the intensity that I was doing them was the same, but I could really, REALLY feel it in the abs. So I’m going to stick with this workout twice a day until I’m ready to move on to a different work out. My biggest problem area is my tummy, and I know I will probably always have a little extra skin, but it would be nice to have it as tight as it can be.

I know I will need to step up the exercising, but this is a start for now. I need to work up to 4 activity points a day in order to get in the 28 a week that WW suggests (especially when going into maintenance).

Small NSV: I was sitting on the couch watching a movie with the hubby, and I was feeling snacky. I had some points available, and some AP’s. I’m trying not to eat after 7 though, and it was already 8:30. I drank some diet iced tea instead, and that didn’t curb the urge to snack. But I still resisted, and before I knew it the movie was over and it was time for bed! I knew I really wasn’t hungry, so I wasn’t denying myself - I was being true to myself. And that felt good because any other day I would have probably caved into the tempation, and probably eaten something that wasn’t healthy.

Thanks for stopping by.
