Well, Halloween could have been worse! LOL! Took my DD trick or treating for an hour and a half. If nothing else, I got some activity in! Woo hoo! Below is a picture of DD as a glamour girl.

I ate about 7 points worth of candy. Thing is, I’m not really a sweet tooth. But there was just something about seeing all of that candy pouring out of my DD’s trick or treat bag; I just couldn’t help myself! But managed to keep some control because I know I could have done some serious damage, but I didn’t.
I was hesitant to jump on the scale this morning (official weigh in day). I saw a slight gain in the scale this morning from my overall weight throughout the week. BUT I did lose 1.2 pounds from last Thursday to this Thursday, so all in all a GREAT weigh in.
Big news - I’m going to Vegas at the end of November. My DH surprised me with a weekend getaway for our 15th wedding anniversary. We’re staying at Planet Hollywood, and we’ll be kidless! I LOVE my kids, but it’s nice to get away with just the husband every now and then. I’ve never been to Vegas so I’m very excited about this trip. And the cool thing is my best friend will be in Vegas the same weekend (she lives in Chicago, I’m in Arizona), so we’re all going to hook up for what will hopefully be a fab weekend.

My weigh in at the WW site is Wednesdays. But the reason I weigh in on Saturdays now is because my cousin and I are both doing Weight Watchers togeter and she chose Saturdays as our weigh in day. It’s kind of a “challenge” between the two of us. I find that it helps keep me a little more accountable, and for the first two weeks I didn’t stay on plan. And after reporting no loss for two weeks, and she was reporting a loss, I was like - I better get on the ball! I keep the weigh in on Wednesdays because I do Weight Watchers on line and I don’t want to change the weigh in day. I started on a Wednesday and I want to keep it that way. But I’m tracking my Saturdays here so that I can keep track with my cousin.
Long story short, I weighed in this morning. I’ve lost 2.2 pounds since starting the “challenge” with her. And I’ve lost 5.2 pounds since restarting the program. Slow I know, but I’m thrilled. I figure it doesn’t matter how long it takes to get there, so long as I get there! Better sooner than later, but I’m okay with the little bumps that happen along the way.
So here is my “unofficial” weight progress:
Weight (restarting WW): 153.8
Weight 6/13/07: 152 (1.8 lb. loss)
Weight 6/20/07: 151 (1 lb. loss)
Weight 6/27/07: 149.8 (1.2 lbs. loss)
Weight 7/4/07: 148.4 (1.4 lbs. loss)
Weight 7/11/07: 148.4 (no loss)
Weight: 8/25/07: 150.8 (gained 2.4 pounds from 7/11)
Weight: 9/01/07: 148.6 (2.2 lbs. loss - almost at weight from 7/11 - WOO HOO! And I’m only going down from there!)
Weight lost to date: 5.2 lbs. from restarting program at 153.8 - YAY ME!

I haven’t journaled in a few days. Life seems to have gotten busy all of a sudden with kids, work, jury duty. Fun, fun.
Anywho, I have been mostly off plan for the last five days. I haven’t eaten badly, but I haven’t tracked the points and I haven’t been drinking the water. So I shouldn’t be too surprised that I didn’t have a loss this week, and I need to get over being upset that I didn’t lose because I know why I didn’t lose. I wasn’t on plan. I need to forgive myself for not having stayed the course and just get back on plan today!
I have a mini vacation coming up with my family, and I’m kind of apprehensive about it. I just feel that I do so much better when I’m at home and planning my meals than when I’m out and about. We’re going to San Diego for the weekend. We’re visiting the San Diego Zoo, Disneyland and California Adventure. I can only hope all of that walking will offset any bad choices I might make.

I hope everyone is having a fun and safe Fourth of July. It was a quiet day for me around the house. My hubby is working today, and my 16 year old son is also at work. So it was just my two girls and I today. We just hung out and ran some errands, and went by my mother’s house for a little bit. Food wasn’t really an issue today because no one was really having a barbecue so I ate sensibly. :0) About the worst thing I did was have a Starbucks Venti Iced Vanilla Latte with Non Fat Milk (5 points). I didn’t feel bad about it though because I only induldge once a week. Gotta have my latte.
I had a GREAT weigh in this morning. I was surprised only because I wasn’t really great with the water Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Maybe I would have had a bigger loss if I had drank the water, but I’m very happy with the 1.4 pound loss.

I weighed in this morning and was down a pound! Woohoo! Stats are below. I just want this weight to come off so fast because I’ve been heavy for such a long time. I know realistically that I need to lose this weight s-l-o-w-l-y as I will have more success keeping the weight off. But I’ll tell you, I’m ready to be thinner, healthier.
I’ve started exercising more. I thought I would see a higher loss at the scale this morning, but it’s a pound. I’ll take that.
