Great feeling

After more than a week away from the elliptical, I got back on it tonight and I’m just dead, but I feel so good.  I need to remember this feeling tomorrow night.  It’s way too cold to go outside (- it’s -30 C [don’t know the F degrees] but believe me, it’s dawm cold. Want a proof? Sandy escaped from the house this afternoon…instead of just running away, she rushed back in the house. LOL ) Actually, my boyfriend and I went for a walk last night and we were alone in the streets. We mostly ran instead of walking since it was too cold.  Sandy liked it (running)…. but running is way too hard for me. lol

A friend congratulated me that for once in my life, I stood up and said outloud how I felt (see Friday post). I’m usually the nice quiet girl who puts everyone else infront of her needs and I’m the one after who ends up hurt - which is the main reason why I eat.  So I said what i had on my mind and I was shock to find out that it’s true, I was able to move on.    I said that this year I wasn’t going to take any sh** from anyone. People who didn’t believe me, well, now they do :)   I’m turning 30 this year and apparently, it’s a normal process in the 30-crisis… Anyone who went through that crisis could confirmed it?

I walked 30 min with my bf and doggie and did 30 min on my elliptical machine today. I’m giving myself a tap on the shoulder and saying Good job! :)

Ouch

My body hurts all over! I did more than 3 hours of shoveling yesterday (now, I can’t have anymore snow. I have no room left to put it!!!!!). I was litteraly sleeping at 7 pm last night; I was so exhausted. It feels good the pain though, that means I’m building muscles. I even managed to walk/run on the elliptical machine 22 minutes tonight, which is good.

I also eat well today :) Lots of veggies and fruits and no coffee this morning at the office, which is awesome for a first day of work after a 2-week break.

January Exercise Challenge

I’m so glad Swizzlepop decided to put this January Exercise Challenge (or the J.E.C). It’s a great motivation for me since I don’t really like to exercises, but when I do get into it, I need to do some at least every second day or I don’t feel good, but it doesn’t take me much to lose that routine. I’m weird like that.

So, in January, I want to start to walk/run on my elliptical machine at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes minimum AND to go walk with my dog. Since I live in Canada where winter is very present this year, it’s hard to say I’ll go 3 times a week since it will depend on the weather. So far we have a mild winter but so many snow. I get home early enough from the office that I could go walk before it gets too dark. I went walking in my new neighbourhood yesterday and I did a route where I don’t need to go on a main road where there is too many salt for my little doggie, so that’s good. And it took me about 20 min. I could  take a street further at one point to make it a 30 min walk.

So here’s my plan for January :

Elliptical machine : 3 times a week at least 20 min. each time

Walk with Ssandy (dog): each time it is possible (I have a feeling it will be mostly on Saturdays and Sundays which is good to since I can take longer walk, go to a parc, etc.).

Let it snow part 2 -

Haven’t got the courage to walk/run on the elliptical machine, but I went for a walk about 20 min with Sandy (my dog) - which is not that bad since it was snowing and Sandy she was all excited and jumping everywhere. I got a good workout for my left arm with all that jumping/pulling.PS: I have been told that I should put shoveling as a workout and it’s true. My arms are really hurting right now. :) Thanks swizzzlepop!
