10 minutes exercise & hours of soreness
Posted by MagicalShrinkingNancy on December 28th, 2007
After doing 2 miles on the treadmill sunday I felt like I needed exercise. It’s a great cycle that exercise starts in me. I just don’t usually go do anything about it because it feels so inconvenient. OK, maybe I am just lazy or shy, but honestly, I don’t like doing exercise when someone might come in and see me. I can take an hour’s walk around town but I can’t stand to use the treadmill at home.
So while I was playing an MMORPG my friend and I were 1 minute late to catch a boat that takes off every 15 minutes. We had to wait 11 minutes to board the next boat and my friend decided to get something to eat, while she was gone I decided to try look up a 10 minute workout i could do without leaving my room. This must have been divine inspiration because I honestly don’t know why I did it. I was feeling a little like I needed some exercise because I hadn’t really done much since sunday. A few minutes of speedwalking etc throughout the day, nothing i bothered to make specific notes of. Anyway, I found one that looked really great, all you needed was 2 dumbells and a chair or bench. Right as it was time to board the ship! So after boarding the ship I went to find the dumbells. Right as the boat took off (boarding lasts for 5 minutes) I started the workout and Finished just after it landed. The timing was perfect. So.. I managed to find a way to incorporate exercise into my COMPUTER GAME time… those waits occur horribly frequently and are very boring. So now I have a workout I can do while I play on the computer… I feel pretty proud of myself
(and nobody has to see me doing it!)
hehe
And today, my right buttock and several muscles throughout my thighs are sore and my back feels kindof tense. I need to find some stretching to do to loosen up the back. I also need to figure out the proper - word help : posture/composure/stature - for doing the exercises. Once I get it right i think the exercises will work my arms more too. I can do this a couple times a week for my cross training in my training program. Especially when I find myself drawn again to a computer game.
maybe I don’t have to give it up for fitness!
