First of all, welcome to the community! Secondly, congratulations for not giving up or throwing in the towel but putting the ice cream down! No one said this thing was going to be easy. I know it sounds funny but you really can compare weight loss and the desire to eat with alcoholics and the desire to drink. It's really freaking hard to deny and if it's in the house or around at all, it makes it THAT much harder! But you are aware of your weaknesses and you just have to arm yourself that knowledge for next time to make wiser decisions. ANY small step is a victory I say. So while ideally there would be NO pizza, cookies or ice cream...if for some reason it were to happen again and you did pizza, ONE cookie and ice cream - that's improvement! However, don't think that means you have a Get Outta Jail Free card for eating whenever you want, lol. I'm just saying, always be aware and know that it took a long time to put that weight on, so it only makes sense that it will take a long time to lose it. Don't let that discourage you though and just make the absolute best decisions you can! Welcome to the community again! And keep up the good work!

Welcome! I look forward to reading your posts.

I know all about the plateau thing. I joined WW last August and spent most of October, November and December losing and gaining the same 2 pounds. (I share some of the blame for that with the Boyfriend, who's always encouraging me to eat things I shouldn't. Sure, he's not forcing me to swallow, but since I usually LOVE what he's offering, it's nearly impossible for me to say no.)

Now I've lost almost 29 pounds total, and am aiming to reach my goal of 160 by the time my brother and sister-in-law have their baby in November. (I was the fat bridesmaid in their wedding pictures, and don't want to be the fat aunt, too!)
