Goals/Timeline/Rewards
Ok so this page is a work in progress but I have a couple notes jotted down in my journal so I figured I’d go ahead and add them here. My goals are EXTREMELY rational, slow, taking it a step at a time. I just don’t want to set myself up for something unrealistic and then be all sad if I don’t meet them. So I did the research and I think this is a good time line for me. If I meet these goals a head of schedule, then excellent! But this is my healthy timeline.
Commitment Goals
- Attend weekly meetings regardless
- Track points every day
- Blog weekly (absolute minimum)
- Positive self-talk every day
Personal Goals
- Slowly and responsibly strengthen my back
- Take a spinning class
- Run/jog on a treadmill for 30 minutes
- Become a WW leader (maybe even one geared towards young adults, but I’d love it either way!)
- Get ACE/AFAA or some comparable group fitness certification
- Teach group fitness classes at a gym
Weight Loss Timeline
- 10 lb weight loss by 4/20/08
- 10% (19 lbs) by 7/19/08
- Weigh in at 165 lbs by my 24th birthday - 9/21/2008
- Goal weight of 140 lbs after roughly one year - March 2009
Weight Loss Rewards
- Every 5 lbs = mani/pedi or a massage
- 10% (19 lbs) = mini shopping spree
- 30 lbs = new Coach purse
- Goal of 50 lbs (weighing in at 140 lbs) = glorious tropical vacation

Love your goals. I went and got my Coach purse at my 10%…I have my eye on matching sunglasses at 50 pounds…and thats only 6 pounds away!!! I think your mani/pedi is a great idea and I am going to have to throw that in for myself!! Keep up the hard work, you look great!!

I love your goals too! I feel like I am reading something I wrote myself! We are going to Hawaii in July so I would LOVE to be 30 pounds lighter by then and maybe even wear a bikini, how nice that would be. I would also like to teach a group fitness class, Zumba or something like hip-hop..by August, we’ll see!!

Your goals are great! They seem reasonable and well-thought out. I love the rewards! I always try to set non-food type rewards (because food isn’t a reward!), but never wind up following through.
