Strange work out question…
Posted by Kristi on January 30th, 2008
So I went for a 35 minute walk today (woo hoo!) I’m slowly increasing the amount of time I’m walking although I hope I don’t push myself too hard (I have a BIG tendency to do that). But anyway, for the strange question: when I get done working out in any way shape or form, it can be a walk around the block, a heavy step class, anything…my HEARING fades out!! It’s the weirdest thing ever and I don’t know why it happens but my hearing truly does fade out and its not something solved by popping my ears. I mean, eventually they return to full hearing capacity but for like 5-10 minute after my work out my hearing is diminished a little bit. Does this happen to anyone else or is my body just really weird?? And even if it doesn’t happen to you, if you have any sort of information behind WHY it might happen, that’d be helpful too!

I’ve never experienced any problems with my hearing while exercising…I wonder if you shouldn’t mention it to your doctor? That would really bother me.
