Word Cloud

27 02 2008

What fun!

“A word cloud is a visual depiction of content (words) used in a body of text. The word clouds we use at snapshirts.com are arranged alphabetically and depict more frequently used words in progressively larger fonts.”

Here’s what they came up with for my blog:

No, I didn’t think of it on my own. I got it off of Becky’s Blog :)

What! The weekends over?

25 02 2008

Well the weekend definately went by too fast. I made it to the gym, Fri, Sat & Sun. I plan on going tonight and Tuesday also. Wednesday I get my haircut!

A new class starts at my Y this week. It’s BOSU, and so much fun. I took it last fall when they offered it and I’m so excited its starting again. So that’ll be 2 days a week of different cardio and strength training. The class is 45 minutes, and its definately a great workout.  Here is some info on BOSU !

Hopefully I’ll have more time to write later, but I did have a great weekend, it just went by too fast. March is going to be a super busy month for me, but I’ve got some great fun stuff planned…including my 30th Birthday :)  I’ll tell you all about it soon, when I have more time to write.

Have a great OP Day!

WI Results

21 02 2008

Diet Well I just got back from WI and I am down 2 pounds. I am uber excited about this given my Weight Loss over the past month or so. I am at my lowest weight on WW by 1.2 pounds, and I am gonna keep it up!

Great Weekend!

19 02 2008

What a great weekend!  I had so much fun, and got so much done.

I stayed OP all weekend!

I had fun with friends and drank some wine

I did a lot of cleaning and organizing around the house

DBF also helped with cleaning and organizing

I had Monday off

I went to the gym 3 times (sat, sun & Mon)

I haven’t weighed myself since last Th at WI (this is pretty big for me)

I feel good

I took a bubble bath yesterday
I stayed in my PJ’s until 7pm yesterday, and only changed to go to the gym

I did a lot of grocery shopping and cooking, so I have TONS of healthy food to last me all week.

WI Results….Depressing

14 02 2008

scale1.jpg Well I got back from WI…and I was down .2 pounds. I just don’t know what to do. I am not going to let this depress me and discourage me (Don’t let me fall of the bandwagon guys). I don’t ask for help very often, but I may need it this week.

For the past 3 weeks I have been working out at least 5 days a week. I am doing cardio all 5 and strength training 2-3 days a week. I am eating OP and doing so well. My body is definately not responding. I am drinking tons of water, yet I feel totally bloated and crappy. I’m sure my body will catch up soon, I just need to tough it out until then. I’m going to take tonight off from working out. DBF is taking me out to dinner and it should be fun. I am just going to relax, make decent food choices, but let myself indulge a little.

Maybe my body just needs to re-evaluate where it is. Afterall I have lost 35 pounds…I don’t know. But I am def not giving up. I’m in this for the long haul to be healthy, happy, and fit.  ho hum.

Happy Valentines Day to you all!

February Freedom Challenge Update

12 02 2008

I did pretty good last week not eating processed foods.  Breakfast is usually a yogurt and a banana, and I’m Ok with that. I only ate a frozen meal once last week. I made a big pot of spaghetti noodles, with lots of veggies and sauce and ate that for 3 meals. I’ll call it a success of week 1 of cutting out excessive processed foods. I’ll continue to try and do better and better.  The main thing was that I made a healthy pot of food, and divided it up for several meals, and thats good!

WI Results…

7 02 2008

scale.jpg Well I just got back from WI. I am up one pound from my last WI on 1/10.  Boy that’s a long time between official WI’s. I do have to say that I am extremely annoyed by the small gain. I know. I had a vacation in there. But still, I have been working so hard lately at the Gym and at my eating.

Oh, well I am not going to let it discourage me. Just think of the loss I’ll see next week.

Personal side note for gym progress - 40 minutes on treadmill. 2.25 miles. 10 minutes jogging :)

Question of the Week

6 02 2008

quesweek.gif  I hope Roni doesn’t mind that I copied her icon :)  But I wanted to answer her new weekly Feature of Question of the week. This week the question is…

“Why do you want to lose weight?”

After many years of failed diet attempts, I finally came to the conclusion that being skinny didn’t equate to a perfect life. I once though that if I was skinny everything would be perfect and I would have the perfect life. Then, reality hit. Being skinny isn’t going to change everything. Yes, some things will change, but not everything.

When I started on this new diet healthy lifestyle I had in mind that this was going to be the way I led my life. By introducing healthy foods; lean proteins, lots of fresh fruits and veggies and whole grains. I incorporated exercise into my lifestyle.  This isn’t a quick fix, or a diet, that I will “go off of”, this is how it is going to be. I feel better, look better, and have lost 35 pounds as a result of my new lifestyle, and still going strong.  But, I know that when I get to goal weight its not like I can forget all I have learned, It’ll just be a continuation.

I started WW to be healthy, to feel more comfortable in my body, to truly enjoy life more than I was before. I feel so much better off emotionally, physically, and everything else. It is amazing what it can change, but it isn’t a quick fix. It’s hard work, and I realize that now. I’m ingraining these things into my brain, they’ll be with me for life.

Another Monday

4 02 2008

Well it’s Monday again. That means another weekend has come and gone way too quickly.I had a great weekend though.  Friday after work I went with a friend to try on wedding dresses. She is getting married in Oct of this year and I am going to be in the wedding. This is even more motivation to be at my goal weight by then, which is totally possible :)

Then on Saturday we went to a nearby bigger city and shopped till we dropped. We hit all the great stores we don’t have at home, Costco, Target, Kohl’s, and a MALL!  Can you believe it?  We ate at a restaurant called “nothing but noodles”, the meal was awesome, I only ate half that day and half for my lunch on Sunday. And the restaurant has Nutritional Info posted on their website, I just LOVE it when restaurants do that. I didn’t check it out ahead of time, but I made an OK decision, but was glad I only ate half each day. Oh, and when we got home I got my taxes filed. I can check that off my list :)

Sunday I had a relaxing day at home,I cleaned house in the morning. Then just relaxed and watched the snow fall. It was so pretty. Then in the afternoon we went to a friends house to watch the superbowl. I had great self control. I only had 2 crackers, 2 pieces of cheese, 2 pieces of salami and one piece of pizza. These are some of my favorite foods and I was so impressed at my self control. I have NEVER in my life only eaten one piece of pizza! YEAH ME!

Well, today is back to the work week. Oh, I made it to the gym on Saturday also!  I made it 5 times last week, and am planning on that again this week. I’ll go Mon - Thurs & Sat!

Well better run. I’m working on my list of things to accomplish this week. I feel this really keeps me on track, motivated, and off the couch doing some great things for my health, stress, and overall well being.  Also, got some good plans in the works for next weekend too!  I am feeling so energized lately, and in much a good mood. I am not sure what contributed to it, but I hope it sticks around for a while !
Have a great OP Day!
