“Unofficial” WI Day

31 01 2008

scale.jpg Well Today is my Official WI day, but I couldn’t make it to the meeting. That makes 3 in a row I’ve missed. The first two were because I was in Hawaii, today I had a work conflict that I couldn’t change.  At least these things were out of my control, and its not like I was “choosing” not to go to WI to hide something.

So, I weighed myself this morning on our home scale. Now we don’t have a digital one, it’s old school with the dial thingy. So I don’t have an exact weight, but if I was to venture a guess I would say that I weigh somewhere between 184 - 185.  This is great, since this is exactly what I weighed the last time I was at my WW scale.

So, for WI next week my goal is to show a loss. This way I won’t show a gain at all from my Hawaii trip (because I skipped this months WI).

This will be great, I’ll be at my Lowest Weight on WW’ers, and on my way forward. I am almost halfway to goal (3 lbs), and that thrills me to no end.

Proud moments, and not so proud moments

31 01 2008

Ok, Yesterday was a weird day. I had some very proud moments and some not very proud ones.

I am proud that I ate what I had planned all day long.

I am not proud that I ate a little extra. Things that didn’t even taste good, but were there so I indulged. Like the chocolate covered pretzels with sprinkles. I ate one, it wasn’t very good. So WHY did I eat like 6 more over the course of the day…WHY, WHY, WHY.

I like that I ordered Papa Murphys DeLite pizza for dinner. I ate what I had the points left for, and had a small salad. Was totally satisfied. I was proud. Then I ate a bite of breadstick, didn’t like it so I put it back. Then WHY oh WHY did I then eat the rest of the same breadstick like 15 minutes later. It wasn’t going to taste any better then, and I wasn’t hungry.. Ugh.

I am very proud that I went to the gym. That’s 3 days in a row, and my bag is packed for tonight also. I don’t have anything “unproud” for this topic. I had a great workout, even jogged some, and then did some stretching. Good Stuff.

Focus for today…no more BLT’s. Especially if its not good, don’t go back for more…jeez, Lacey learn a lesson!

Small Goal of the week

30 01 2008

Well I think I am going to start out with a small goal of the week to keep myself ontrack and focused. There is always something little I can put a little bit more awareness into and focus on doing better.

 This week it will be…..

Stop the little BLT’s (bites, licks and tastes)  -  They seem to be growing on me lately. Not a full out binge, but I’ll find myself sneaking a little bite here and there. It doesn’t amount up to much but probably 3 points a day, which I do track. But I would be way better off using that 3 points for something bigger or healthier, as opposed to little bites throughout the day.

How Girlie Are you?

You Can Hang With the Guys and the Girls

You’ve struck a good balance between girlie and laid back.
You can keep it casual but when you dress up, you are as girly as the next girl.

How Feminine Are You?

Walden Farms Salad Dressings

29 01 2008

Ok, I wrote about these a while ago. But, when I wrote the post I had just bought the salad dressing but hadn’t tried them yet.

Well I have tried both the Honey Mustard and Raspberry Vinagrette. They are ZERO Calories, ZERO Fat!  I really like them. They are pretty good. But what do you expect for a 2 tbsp serving size and zero points, not but really they are good.  I am not too picky about my dressing, and I don’t use very much so its great for me. I would rather spend 2 points on cheese, and then use this dressing for 0 Points.  They also make a great 0 point salad if you only use veggies, great for those days when you run out of points.

I can find them at my normal grocery store (small local chain) in the salad dressing isle, so you should be able to find them anywhere.

Has anyone else tried them? What do you think?

Busy, Busy, Busy

29 01 2008

I wish I had more time to write lately. I’ve just been so busy.  Here’s a rundown of the randomness in my head.

  • I am almost back to my pre-vacation weight
  • I am actually enjoying my “gym-time”.  Went last night for a fantastic cardio workout and lower abs. Tonight is treadmill and strength training.
  • I’ve been incorporating stretching into my workout routines and am noticing an increase in my flexibility
  • I went on a great grocery shopping spree this weekend and have AWESOME foods in the house
  • I am looking forward already to next weekend. Lots of fun stuff planned, although some revolves around food…ugh
  • I am excited to file my taxes since both the BF and I will each get refunds. and then the tax relief checks coming at the beginning of summer will be AWESOME
  • Work has been really busy but very rewarding because my boss is giving me increased job duties letting me actually challenge myself
  • I am looking forward to staying home for a few weekends before traveling again
  • I want to go to Reno in May :)
  • I won’t be able to make it to WI again this week (that’ll make 3 weeks in a row because of Hawaii). But I’m excited because next week at WI I will DEFINATELY show a loss
  • My house is clean, and that makes me happy
  • Thursday is Payday
  • I have no more Flex points this week (until Th) because of some poor decisions made over the weekend, Alcohol really sucks them up
  • I have awesome friends
  • I love snow, we have loads here, and it is so pretty. I don’t even mind driving in it

Ok, I feel better now that I got it all down on paper. I’m working on a list of short term goals I want to accomplish. I hope to post them sometime later this week.

Have a great OP day!  I’ve been reading TONS of blogs, but need to really post more comments for you guys…sorry :(

Back in the Groove

25 01 2008

Well I’m back and on track. Hawaii was great. The highlight of the trip for me was watching whales and dolphins play and jump while I was sitting on the deck in the mornings of the house we rented. Also, 4 houses down was a public sand beach that was nice and small and very private and secluded. We spent quite a bit of time there, in the afternoons the big green sea turtles would come up and bask on the sand. I got quite a few good pictures of them, I’ll try to post this weekend.

Eating was OK, the house had A LOT of junk food in the house. We went shopping for food when we first got there, and got some really good stuff, lots of fruits, and fish to grill. I was the only person on the trip who watched what I ate at all, and I am sad to say that after a few days of their junk food eating  it kinda rubbed off on me.

I am back on track though, eating healthy, I even made it to the gym last night even though I was super tired.  I didn’t WI this week because I missed the meeting. I did get on the home scale and it is up about 4-5 pounds. I’m not worried, I am sure at least a few of the pounds is water weight, and I’ll be back to my lowest weight in no time.  I am more determined than ever to continue on my healthy journey and meet my weight loss goals.

Hawaii was awesome

24 01 2008

Ok, I’m back. Hawaii was awesome. I’ll post more about it later with some pics. Eating healthy and exercising went out the window while I was on vacation. I tried really hard for like 2 days then gave in and had a great time. I’m back on track 100% now. Eating great, and to the gym tonight.  I have A LOT of blogs to catch up on, but I’ll get there.

More later

WI Results…YEAH ME!

10 01 2008

scale.jpg Well I just got back from WW, and I lost .8 pounds. That makes my total weight loss 35 pounds on the nose.

I am very excited about that. I had hoped to lose 40 pounds before Hawaii, but I am stoked about 35. I am so proud of myself for not giving up.  3 more pounds and I am halfway to goal.
