Nothing new to report

27 11 2007

Well I’m still here, staying OP and trying to exercise as much as I can. Seems like my hard work is paying off, I have seen the lowest # in years. On my home scale I have broken into the 180’s, and have been for a few days now. I really hope I can make the 180’s in WI on Thursday. I am hoping to be really good between now and then.

I haven’t let any Holiday sweets into my house yet, but I can feel them pressing down on me. I am still hoping to lose during the month of December, I know thats asking for a lot, but I’m gonna see how good I can do.

Well thats all I know for now. Have a great OP day!

Mexico Pics & NSV

25 11 2007

Below are a few pictures taken  about 2 weeks ago in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.  As I’ve lost REALLY close to 30 pounds now, I think I’ll also update my progress page with a new picture so I can see the full progression.

Ok, now for the NSV. I have a terrible habit of always buying clothing that doesn’t fit, but is just a little too snug. Needless to say over the years I have accumulated quite a bit of clothing in a size or two too small that has never been worn. Well when packing for Mexico I found 2 pair of shorts that still had the tags on from Eddie Bauer. Well I Packed them, and the jean shorts fit perfect, they were awesome. The second pair was WAY too big, I was a little upset because I have never worn them, but the feeling that they were too big was more powerful.

Also, I vowed to wear sleeveless shirts every day in Mexico and I accomplished that. I usually stick to T shirts because I am more comfortable in them. But, this trip I stepped out of my box and wore lots of tank tops :) Yeah for me for recognizing that I am looking better after having lost almost 30 pounds and daring to go out of my comfort zone :)  I think these are both great NSV’s!

I have a plan

21 11 2007

Happy Almost Thanksgiving everyone.

I have a plan on how I am going to make it through the next 36 hours or so, and thought I would write about it on here to hold myself accountable.

Today. I’ve only had 7 points today, and am pretty satisfied. I get off work in about 1 1/2 hours, and I’ll grab an apple for a snack and hit the gym. There I will earn 3 AP’s.  Then for dinner tonight we are heading to a salad and pizza buffet. I’ll bring my own 0 point salad dressing, make myself a nice big healthy salad (remember Lacey light or no cheese and bacon) and I’ll allow myself 2 slices of pizza. I should be able to cover most of these points with my daily allowance and my AP’s, I still have 29 flex points left and they “renew” tomorrow so I can use a few if I need.

Tomorrow morning, eat breakfast. Oatmeal and a fruit. Great 3 points. Dinner is at 2pm at a Restaurant (YEAH for no preparation, cleanup or leftovers).  I’ll again take my own salad dressing and make a nice big salad. Add some white meat turkey, a little stuffing, mashed potatoes, a touch of gravy and some green bean casserole, and one roll, maybe a little cranberry sauce. That should about cover dinner.  Remember: Just because your FP’s renew tomorrow does NOT mean you should use the freely. One piece of dessert, and have just a few bites of it. Throw the rest away (especially if it isn’t very good).

Don’t waste points on stuff that tastes “OK”, only eat the good stuff that will cure the cravings.

Then I’m done. I’ll have something healthy for dinner later in the night and I should be set. I may bake DBF and his family a sour cream pie, but that shouldn’t be a big deal because I am not tempted with that sort of dessert.

Go to Bed early, no late night snacking.

I’m back and WI Results again

20 11 2007

I’m back from my Seattle trip. It was great fun although the Bears lost the game. It was still totally worth it and we had a great time. It is good to be back home though.

I had WI this morning. My normal WI day is on Thursday morning, but they changed it this week because of Thanksgiving.

So I lost 1.6 pounds at WI. This is since last Thursday, so only 5 days really. And I was in Seattle for most of it, so I am very happy with the results.

I am still 2 pounds above my all time low on WW’ers.  So my goal for next WI is to lost at least 2.2 pounds and be in new territory. This will also be a new # for me…Yippee.

Well better get going!  Got lots to catch up on. Have a great OP Day Today!

TGIF

16 11 2007

Well I am so glad it is Friday. I think i’m finally caught up on my sleep from vacation in Mexico and feel normal. That’s good since I leave tomorrow morning for Seattle to watch the Bears game on Sunday afternoon. I am so excited, I have never been to a NFL game, and am so excited to see my favorite team play. GO BEARS!

The scale moved down again last night. I’m sure its water weight leftover from vacation. I am down to where i was at the last WI. My next WI is on Tuesday morning, so I need to be totally good about my eating this weekend while out of town. I can do it!

Well TTFN. I’m off to get some stuff done :)  Have a great OP Weekend everyone :)

Weigh in Results

15 11 2007

OK, so I decided to go to my meeting and WI. I was up 3.6 pounds since my last WI 2 weeks ago. I am still convinced at least some of it is water weight leftover from vacation in Mexico and I’m gonna work my butt off this week and make sure and get back moving in the right direction. I DO NOT like losing the same pounds more than once :)

On a positive note, I have been totally OP both days since I’ve been back. I also made it to the gym last night and tried the belly dancing class. It was the first class and I had a really good time. It didn’t feel much like a workout but I am really sore today in my hips, stomach, chest and thighs. I think I’ll keep going, it’s twice a week and maybe when the class is over I’ll actually look cool doing it :)  I’ll let you know how it goes!

Hope everyone is having a great OP day.

Zero Point Salad Dressing

15 11 2007

I have so many things I want to blog about today :)  And I have WI this morning, which I am not expecing a loss, and haven’t totally decided whether I will use the no-WI-Pass or not…we’ll see.

Anywho….I was at the store last night and saw these…Zero calorie, Zero fat,  zero point salad dressings for 2 tbsp.  I’m not sure what is in them, and haven’t tried it yet, but I got the Honey Mustard variety. I can’t wait to try it.

Anyone out there had these? Am I all excited for nothing? Which flavor is your favorite?

Here’s a pic!

Gulp, Gulp, Gulp

14 11 2007

Well I’ve been drinking my water today. I’ve had obout 50 oz, and it’s not even 1pm here. I have spent half of the time in the bathroom at work, and the other half of the morning refilling my water glass. But its great, I gotta get this water weight off, and start moving in the right direction with my weight loss again! YEAH!

I’m Back

14 11 2007

I’m back from my Mexico get-a-way!  Actually, I was back at work yesterday, but after being up 22 hours straight traveling, sleeping about 5 hours, I wasn’t worth a sh*t at work yesterday, and crashed right after work. But, I was totally OP all day long! Yeah for me and getting right back into the swing of WW’ers.

Mexico was fantastic. I don’t feel like I ate a whole lot of junk while I was there, but I did not count points. We usually only ate twice a day, breakfast and dinner. I had quite a few drinks while I was there, but also choose diet coke often to cut down on calories. I know I didn’t drink nearly enough water down there, but we all know what they say about the water down there, and I hate spending like $10 a day on water, so I know I am dehydrated.

The scale is up 5 lbs from my last WI. I don’t think its all fat, I know I need to drink water and flush the stuff through me. My goal today is to drink like 80 oz of water today and each day until I get back to my last WI weight.

I took lots of pictures down there, and will update with a new picture when I get home tonight (if I can stay awake long enough).

I really need to stay focused on WW’ers. I got out of my routine last week while i was gone, but am happy I was OP yesterday. I am leaving town again this weekend for Seattle, but am traveling with friends who are healthy, and are really supportive of me trying to lose weight, so they will help me resist the food temptations while traveling.

Oh, and we are going to Trader Joe’s while in Seattle, I am packing a cooler and everything!  YEAH!

Well better run. I’ll be back later, hope everyone is having a great OP day!
