WI Results…Drumroll please

25 10 2007

Down 3.6 pounds at this WI.  Total weight lost = 27.2 pounds in 19 weeks.

I am so excited. My goal is to lose 3o pounds by next Thursday, which is 2.8 pounds. A little bit of a stretch (especially since WI is the Morning after Halloween)…but I’m gonna hit the gym hard and have total control over my eating. I can do it, I can do it.

OK, gotta get going, busy day today :)

Good Healthy Day

24 10 2007

I did a lot of good things for my health yesterday :)

1) Went to the eye Dr (yeah, my vision stayed the same)

2) Picked out new glasses which are totally cute; although I don’t wear them very often just for driving and distances

3) got my flu shot

4) Ate totally healthy

5) Went to the Gym

6) Picked up around the house (helps my mental health)

7) Snuggled with the dogs since DBF is away

Overall I’d call yesterday an 8 out of a 10 day. I only gave it an 8 because nothing really happened, I just took care of myself.  I’m gonna make today just as good!

It’s gonna be a great day, and a NSV

23 10 2007

I just have a feeling today is going to go wonderful. DBF left early this morning until Sunday. I feel 100% back in control of my eating (after my beer and 2 fish tacos for dinner last night…tisk, tisk).  I get a new office chair today :)   I’m going to the gym tonight.  And the best one of all….

Today I am wearing pants I found in the back of my closet that I haven’t worn in probably 3 years.  They don’t look perfect on me yet, but they fit so I wore them to work today!

Ok, better run, gotta check up on everybody else!  Have a great OP day, I know I will.

Weekend Recap and a NSV

22 10 2007

So, first for the weekend recap. DBF came home on Saturday and we had a nice weekend spent together. I ate like CRAP all weekend. My days started off with a great breakfast, a super light lunch because I wasn’t hungry and then a grease/cheese fest for dinner. The scale isn’t showing it yet, but it still might. Well anyway, my grease fest is over. Although it feels like I majorly cheated this weekend, I did journal everything and have enough flex points to cover it.  So, it wasn’t really THAT bad, but definately not healthy choices.  Enchiladas, rice, beans, more tortilla chips than I care to mention, and then yesterday fried zucchini and fried shrimp to round out the weekend.

Today will be healthier and less points. DBF leaves tomorrow morning for another week, so it’s just me, which means I’ll eat way better and get to the gym more.

OK, now for the NSV. On Friday a co-worker asked if I had been losing weight. She was very sheepish when asking, as to not embarass either of us. I said yes, I had been losing some weight and I was glad she noticed. She said it looked like I had lost at least 40 pounds. Now, I have lost 25, but that’s not nearly 40….did I really look that bad before?  Well, I’m sure she meant it in the nicest way, so I’ll take it as a compliment and move forward.

I am anxious for WI on Thursday. Since I didn’t WI last week, I think it’s going to be a great motivating number this week.

No WI today…

18 10 2007

Well I couldn’t make it to WI today because I had a work meeting. This is the first meeting I’ve missed in 19 weeks. I feel a little bad about missing it, but it’s not going to get me off track at all.

I splurged last night and had a bacon cheeseburger and fries at a local bar and grille. We were celebrating DBF’s birthday, and I had 16 points left for the day and 33 of my flex left (and it was the last day of my WW week). It felt oh-so-good to spend 8 flex points and have a wonderful meal.  I only had a little tiny bite of cake too - yeah for me!

I’m headed to the Y again tonight, and Tomorrow and Saturday.  Gotta make this a habit so I can keep it up.  Tonight is a “hard core” (pilates-eske) class and some cardio. Tomorrow is harder cardio and weights; and Saturday will be my long cardio workout.

The scale is still treating me kindly, but I really wish I had a new one that was digital. The one I have now I can only tell my weight within 1-2 pounds because the numbers are so small, and it’s really not that great of a scale. Any one have any suggestions of a good scale that doesn’t cost a fortune?

Cool new Gadget

16 10 2007

Anybody heard of a “Body Bug”?  Maybe I’m just the last person to find out about it.  Well anyway, I believe this may be what the biggest loser contestants were wearing for the first couple of weeks at the ranch this season strapped to their biceps. Basically its a monitor you can wear 24 hours a day that can tell exactly how many calories you burn. You can then download the data from the body bug onto your computer to analyze.

Now this is my type of gadget!  Of course I may have to take out a 2nd mortgage on the house to pay for it though.

It’s pretty cute too :)

bodybugg.jpg You can find out more on it here.

I’m thinking over time the price will go down. And actually the price isn’t that outrageous, I just hate the fact that you have to sign up for a monthly service and pay a fee for accessing the data that the “bug” stores.

I think you can also input on their special computer program all the calories you are taking in. So in theory you can tell your net calories in a day, which would be pretty cool.

Anyway…just thought  I would share my new gadget find.

Have a great OP Day!

Ew, It’s Monday

15 10 2007

So, yet another Monday. I did good eating this weekend and actually went to the gym both Saturday and Sunday. Yeah for me. So that’s 3 times since last WI on Thursday morning.  I am going tonight for a class, then off for Tuesday and Wednesday because I have other stuff going on.

Nothing new to report. DBF is still out hunting (he got his deer!).  So all is calm on the home front.

My dog has something wrong with her eye, but is on medicine and painkillers. It happened on Friday when we took her to the groomers. They won’t take repsonsibility for it, but it sure is frustrating. She is so uncomfortable, I’m going to have to take her back in tomorrow if it doesn’t get better :(

That’s about it. I have a tough few days of eating challenges coming up. But I really want to see a loss at WI on Thursday so we’ll see how I fare.

NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS SKINNY FEELS

Have a great OP Day!

WI Results….Movin’ in the right direction

11 10 2007

I just got back from weigh in, and am very pleased. Are you ready…. I lost a total of 2 pounds.  This makes my total weight loss in 17 weeks 23.6 pounds.

Maybe my gym efforts, and complete control of my eating the past few weeks is finally paying off.  I am heading to the gym tonight too. That’s 3 times already this week, yeah for me!

My new short term goal is to get to a total weight loss of 25 pounds next week. So I need to lose another 1.4. I CAN DO IT!

OK, gotta run.  I’ll be back later, I have a new gadget find that totally rocks.  I really want it, and I’ll write about it later…but I may have to take out a 2nd mortgage on the house to pay for it :)  I’ll keep you in anticipation waiting to know what it is.

TTFN.  Have a great OP Day everyone.

My Bento Box is here!

10 10 2007

I’ve been waiting anxiously since the day I ordered them, and today….they arrived. Aren’t they cute?

I just love that they match so pretty, and are all a set. I just love new fun stuff like this.  Actually, I don’t even know when I’ll use them, I don’t pack a lunch to take to work because we come home for lunch every day. But I will find a few occasions to use them. Heck, maybe I’ll just use them at home, they make me smile whenever I look at them, so eating out of them must be fun too right?

I’m still here…and on track!

9 10 2007

I’ve been called out!  30, Thin & Thriving is keeping me on track and wondering why I haven’ been blogging…. It’s really nice to have friends that care about how you are doing!

So, I am happy to report that I am 100% on track. Its the 5th day of my WW week, and I still have all 35 flex points left.

I have made it to the gym twice since my last WI, and plan on going again tonight.  Don’t get me wrong, I still hate the gym.  I have a gym buddy who keeps me going though.  She’s tough, but I love her. She has never had any sort of weight problem, but seems understanding of mine.  She wants to help me enjoy my gym time. I’m not there yet, but I do wish that someday I actually look forward to my workouts.

I had a great weekend full of scrapbooking, shopping, and sweating at the gym.  I was off work yesterday for the holiday and truly enjoyed my day. I’m back at work today, getting into my weekday routine.

It seems this new diet  livestyle is really sinking in. I don’t feel like I am dieting anymore, this is just how I live. I am still 100% committed to getting this weight off. So, even if the scale isn’t nice AGAIN, I know that I am doing healthy things for my body, and in the long run I will accomplish my weight goals, it HAS to happen giving the way I am eating and exercising, just at its own pace  (can you tell I am talking myself into this as I type :) )

So happy Monday (oh wait, it’s Tuesday my days are all messed up since we were off yesterday).

I am committing to blogging more regularily also, seems I have slacked off the past month or so, and I DO NOT want that to happen. So you can expect more frequent updates from me :)

 Have a great OP Day!
