Moving on Over (to the new community)

8 05 2008

OK, I’ve moved over to the new community.  I’m sure all my faithful readers are anxious to have the new link, so here it is

You can read about my weekly WI over there, I just posted it… (and it’s good!).

I’ll still be checking in around here for my old friends that haven’t moved over yet, and try to leave them comments. If you’re on the fence about moving over though give it a try, it’s so cool. And you can even link to your weight watchen blog here if you want!

Ok, see ya all over on Blogtolose :)

Have a great OP Day!

It Really Works… Revolution Money Exchange get your $25

4 05 2008

For some time now, I have been hearing about Revolution Money Exchange. The premise of this company is very similar to PayPal. It’s a way to send and receive money through the internet by only using an email address. Best of all…there are no fees!

I’m not one to try things out first. I tend to sit and observe and then perhaps give something a try. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that they are giving out $25 bonuses right now until May 15th so I kept a very close eye on things ;) I finally felt good enough about the company and their reputation, so I signed up.

Signing up was easy and setting up my web account took less than two minutes. Right away, there was a $25 deposit into my account. In order to access that money, I had to set-up account information and had to give my social security number. That was the big reason why I was sitting back and watching this one.

Here is a link if you want to get your $25 and I’ll get $10 from your referral. No pressure, only do this if its something you are wanting. But I am having DBF sign up too, so I’ll get $10 from his referral and we’ll get a total of $60 between us. I’d say that’s enough for a date night :)

Day 1 with no scale

29 04 2008

So far I kept up my end of the deal. I didn’t get on the scale this morning. I ate all my points yesterday, got plenty of fluids and did 2.5 miles at the track. It was at a very fast walking pace and it felt great.

Here’s to another great OP Day!

Scale Obsessed

28 04 2008

I’m feeling a little obsessed with the scale lately. I’ve been Weighing in every morning on my personal scale at home. It’s been dictating my mood and my eating habits a little too much lately so I’m gonna break this addiction. I’m going to try to get into a healthier Weighing pattern. I most likely won’t be able to WI on Thursday due to a work conflict, and I don’t really have any other meeting choices, so I’ll just go a week without WI.  I’m gonna try to only Weigh Myself every 3-4 days at home. I like doing this to just make sure I am on track. So…the next time I want to get on the scale will be Thursday (my normal WI day). Then after that I’ll Weigh one week from today, and try to not weigh until my offical WI day next thursday.

Ok, I feel better now that I wrote it all out. I am still eating healthy, and working out harder and more often than ever, but I feel like if I get on the scale in the morning and it shows me a good number I do good. If it is up at all, or not down as much as I think it is, I’ve been limiting my food intake and skipping dinner so hopefully the # the next morning is better. I haven’t been eating all my daily points on some days either which I know is bad…so I am stopping it NOW.

WI Results

24 04 2008

scale2.jpg Well at WI this morning I was down 2 lbs. I am pretty happy about this. Honestly though, I thought it would be more. I am showing a 3 lb loss on my scale at home. Oh, well I’ll always take a 2 pound loss. It totally makes up for my .8 gain last week :(

Total lost to date 46.2 lbs :)  I’m getting closer and closer to that 50 lb mark and reward :) I’ll make it soon.

5K

22 04 2008

Well I signed up for my first 5K, it’s on May 10th…that’s coming up pretty soon.  I would have never thought I would run/jog for leisure. It is really hard for me,  I feel like I’m gonna pass out, but I love it at the same time.

I have never been a runner. Even in High School when I weighed 105 lbs I still couldn’t run and ran like a 20 minute mile…seriously. I just was never fit, never had any muscles, and was lazy. I hated to breathe hard and sweat, so I never did.

I got on the treadmill at the Y last night and I have been doing between 2 and 2.5 miles, jogging about half the distance.  Well last night I went for a total of 3 miles and was jogging for 2 of them :)  YEAH ME! I wanted to test it out to make sure that I could do it without dieing…and I did!

This 5K will definately be a challenge, but I don’t have any huge goals or expectations of myself. I just want to give it my all, but finish at the same time. Then I’ll have a baseline for future “fun runs”  (that should be an oxymoron).  There is another local one here in July, so hopefully I will be able to improve my time for that one. I’ll let you know how it turns out!

Great weekend!

21 04 2008

I had a great weekend all around. I ate well, had a good time with friends and family. Even went to a movie with DBF, we only go about once every two years believe it or not :)  We saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall and thought it was very cute and funny, we’ll probably buy it when it comes out, and since we only buy like 1 movie a year that says a lot too!

I ate well all weekend, and I had a huge NSV yesterday. We went to a chinese all-you-can-eat buffet, and it’s such good food. I had one small plate but only choose steamed veggies, steamed shrimp and some white rice. I know that there were probably some oil/butter with the steamed veggies and shrimp, but it was WAY better than the options I usually make. Then as a treat I went back for a tiny 2nd plate that had some sauteed mushrooms, one cheese rangoon, and 2 small pieces of General Tso’s chicken. The cheese rangoons and General Tso’s are my absolute favorite. But I filled up on the other stuff so I just wanted to “taste” my favorites. It was perfect!

The scale is totally happy with me too. Its down about 3 lbs from last Th WI. I just need to keep it up until Thursday this week and then my loss will be official. I am going to scrutinize everything I put in my mouth to make sure this great loss sticks around :)

I haven’t been to the gym since last Thursday, so I’ll be hitting it hard. My goal is to make it there 5 times a week. I only made it there 4 times last week, which is still pretty good. I have a really rough schedule at work this week, but I’m gonna fit in a workout when I can, If I make it a priority I know it will happen!

Have a great OP Day!

WI Results… a day late

18 04 2008

scale2.jpg Well I didn’t post my WI results yesterday, but I was up .8 lbs. I’m actually not that upset about it, i’ve been losing really good lately and it kinda went to my head. After a week of liquid diet and losing 2.4 pounds when I got my wisdom teeth out last week, once I could chew again I kinda got a little out of hand.

I am determined to be at my lowest weight ever by next WI, which would be a loss of 1 pound. I know I can do it. I have worked out 4 days this week so far. I think today will be my day off, then maybe a good cardio workout on Sat, and some weights again on Sun.  I am determined that I am in this for the long haul, and one little gain isn’t gonna set me back at all :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Biggest Loser Finale! (spoiler)

16 04 2008

OMG! I couldn’t believe the biggest loser last night, I am so happy Ali won. She totally deserved it. Her positive attitude and constant unwavering attitude saying that she will be the first female biggest loser…and she did it!

 Awesome motivation!
