I’ve been slacking …
I didn’t realize I’ve skipped out on posting THREE times this week. Jeez.
I’ve been having a bit of trouble on the food front, but exercise has been stellar this week. I even went to the gym on my lunch hour Thursday because I didn’t manage to make it before work. Don’t think I’ve ever done that before, so I’ll consider that a small victory.
I’d PLANNED to get up when the boyfriend got up for work so I could drive back home and head to the boot camp express class again on Thursday. But it turned out he didn’t have to work, so we spent the morning playing instead. I made it back to town just in time to go to work. But I felt so “I need to get in a workout” — a completely new feeling for me, I must say! — that I had to go on my lunch hour. I didn’t do much, just 30 minutes on the treadmill, but that’s better than nothing.
So far today, the food thing is under control AND I’ve had a good workout. I did another 50-minute Zumba class this morning, and afterward, spent another 21 minutes on the treadmill, walking at least 2.5 mph while I gabbed with Linda, a friend who’s also doing the newspaper’s Lose to Win thing and went to Zumba with me.
Food-wise, I’ve eaten a 1-Point cinnamon spice bagel with 1 Point of LF strawberry cream cheese; a post-workout, 4 1/2-Point smoothie at the gym’s smoothie bar; a pita filled with veggies, ham and tzatziki sauce; and two 1-Point cake mix and soda cupcakes topped with a little pineapple and some FF whipped cream.
I need to eat well after yesterday’s evening blowout, which included a cheeseburger and chili cheese fries from Del Taco, a piece of carrot cake (at about 9 p.m., when I just had to get away from my desk for a few minutes … should have gone to the gym instead.) and a 5-piece chicken nugget and double cheeseburger from Wendy’s (after work).
Oh well. Today’s a new day, and anything’s possible.
