Finally losin’ it

Oops …

Well, I’d planned to hit the gym for a nice, long workout Thursday morning … but when I got there, I realized I actually had a massage scheduled for about 30 minutes later. That means it was a quickie workout instead: Just 12 minutes on the treadmill (but at a high incline and fast speed for most of it) and 5 minutes in the corner doing some free weights from a new magazine article I saw last night. I’ll have to go back to try the rest out tomorrow, when I have more time.

I guess it could be considered an NSV that I stayed at the gym and squeezed in a short workout.

On the relaxing side of things, my massage was fantastic. The therapist did a little therapeutic work on my lower back, which never really bothers me until someone is back there poking around at it, and my bum knee (an old musical theater injury that now goes out from time to time for no apparent reason. One of the last few times it went out, hobbling me for days, I was just walking around a pool table while the boyfriend and I were shooting some pool.)

Actually, the doctor used to tell me that once I lost weight, my knee would feel better. Instead, it went out more when I was at my lightest … but I think it’s because I was more active.

AAC: 1.5/3 — I’m only counting the short workout as a half, because I know I should have done better. Had I not taken the time to feed my face, I could have been to the gym earlier! :D

  1. Great job getting the workout in…I don’t know if I would have had it it me to do that…I guess that really means no matter what we can fit something in :) Well almost time for me to go lace up my shoes…catch ya later!

  2. I know. It would have been a lot easier to just skip it … but I made myself stay and do SOMETHING. I have to get ready for the final BMI/body fat percentage check for the paper’s Lose to Win program next week.
