I’m having a snack attack moment
So far, I’ve managed to NOT eat something I’d be ashamed to write down in my food tracker … but it’s getting harder and harder the longer I sit here at work (and I can’t leave yet because the paper’s not done).
I think maybe my dinner wasn’t big enough. I had a small salad, pineapple and a frozen WW chicken teriyaki (I know it’s not Core, but I wasn’t able to get home to cook something). Wait — I haven’t had my dairy yet, either. Maybe if I mix up the smoothie I brought, that’ll kill the hunger pangs.
I’m thinking not, though, because I want something savory, not something sweet. If I can hold out for another 45 minutes or so, I can go home and fix up something small and savory. I need to plant a suggestion in my brain that’s not Cheez-its or cheddar goldfish, which is what I seem to be craving right now.
A nice, gooey, cheesy quesadilla made with fat-free or soy cheese and a low-carb tortilla might just fill the bill! ![]()
I hope you made it through w/out going and doing something you regret today
Someone mentioned to me that when I get that choco/sugar/gooey munchie craving, to pop in a piece of gum…it tends to work…do you really want to eat that stuff when your mouth is all minty fresh?? Nope-er-roo….goodluck!
You’ll be glad to know that I DID make it home to the nice, healthy cheese quesadilla. Gum, huh? I’ve never
been much of a gum chewer, but I just might have to try that.
