Errands and work …
Being busy got the best of me again Saturday. I got a lot of things done — such as the oil change I’ve been putting off for about 3,000 miles! — but all the running around did nothing for my exercise time. I barely logged 8,500 steps on the pedometer … so there’s no way I’m going to get in my average of 10,250 a day this week. I’d have to get about 20,000 Sunday.
It also didn’t help on the food front. I’d planned to go home and grill a pork chop and sweet potato fries. But when I looked up from my computer and it was 7:45 p.m., (and I knew I shouldn’t take an entire hourlong break, because I was behind on the work) I ended up doing the drive-thru thing instead.
On the plus side, we got the paper out on time. It was even about 15 minutes early! And it’s a gorgeous paper, too. Both my arts & living section and the front page look great.
Another plus: While I was chained to my desk, I drank nearly an entire 64-ounce jug of water. (I need to celebrate the little things!)
Anyway, Sunday is a new day. I’ll make it a better one.
Happy Easter, all!
