Yum!
I, unfortunately, am a fast food fiend. (That’s probably one reason I’ve always had to fight with my weight. The other is my genes. My mom was always heavy, and I was “lucky” enough to take after her.)
So when a co-worker recommended the Mexican Caesar Salad from Del Taco, I decided to give it a try. I ordered a small side-sized one for lunch today. He was right: It was pretty darn tasty.
Unfortunately, I ate it BEFORE I checked out the nutritional info online. That dressing, though it’s really good, is a killer. With the dressing, it has 415 calories, 40 g of fat, 9 g of carbs and 1 g of fiber — for 11 Points.
Without the dressing? Only 115 calories, 6 g of fat, 7 g of carbs and 1 fiber — just 3 Points.
Next time, I’m making my own dressing to take along. I figure 1/4 of an avocado, some chili powder and FF ranch will give me a similar flavor.
Where did you find the nutritional info?
Del Taco’s Web site. I just googled “Del Taco” and clicked on the Nutritional info page.
