Moving more
I know “Move More” is one of the four pillars in the WW program, but I have no trouble releasing what Crabby would call “my inner slug.” In fact, I have to fight to tamp down that couch potato and force myself to get to the gym.
That’s exactly what I did today. I went to a 45-minute pilates class and worked hard. I think I like pilates, which is a good thing, considering I’ve bought the Winsor Pilates tapes from that infomercial. (Haven’t used them yet, but now that I have a couple of classes under my belt, I’m more likely to fire up the DVD player).
I don’t know what happened … there was a time (when I was doing Atkins and at about 169 pounds, 9 away from my goal) that I was going to the gym daily — and sometimes twice a day, if there were a couple of good classes I wanted to go to. Hopefully I can get back to that place. It’s not like I don’t have time. I work, but from 3 to midnight, so I could get up and go to the gym at any time before that.
It’d sure beat sitting at home watching “The View.”
