Weekend is going well!

I’m pleased to report that this weekend has been going well food-wise. I started out the day by tracking and didn’t finish so diligently, but overall I feel good about how today has been. I got up early this morning and did a 20 minutes pilates workout and got on the treadmill for a few and did my jogging again. And then tonight while I was downstairs taking care of things for the night I even got on the treadmill for another 5 minutes. It’s funny how the small things really can make you feel somewhat accomplished.
So I’ve been worried about getting to the low 220’s and pushing past it into the 210’s. It’s coming up fast and furious and I’m really trying to dig my heels in and keep going. It has been such a mental block for me and I can’t wait to show myself I can do it and then push through to the next mental block. (Heaven only knows there’s a TON of those…)
Although I’ve only lost roughly 10 pounds, I’m amazed at the difference in my energy level. I can’t wait to see how much better it’ll be as I take off more weight. I’ve got some great projects planned to do around my house and yard, and I definitely need more of that energy to accomplish them!
I am a bit disappointed that my shirts still aren’t showing much improvement in how they fit yet. So, the question of the day is…how much did you have to drop before you started seeing a difference in clothing sizes? I feel like yes, I can lose some of this weight, but that it’s never going to show in my clothes as far as dropping sizes. I know, I know…another mental block for me. So…anything you can share in relation to clothing sizes would be great to hear. And where did you first start noticing the weight coming off? I can’t wait to hear your comments!

First off, welcome welcome welcome. I love this place. It has helped me tremendously!!! I started at 267 and am currently at 233. I started changing the way I eat and adding exercise in Jan. I have three kiddos (the youngest being 7 months). I have been overweight for most of my life (with the exception of my Navy days where I was at 170). So that is my goal and for the first time in the last 7 years I REALLY think I can do it!!! I started truly noticing my weight loss at about 15 pounds. My pants, which were always tight because I never wanted to acknowledge I was gaining weight, started to feel loose. So I went out and purchased some new ones from Old Navy. And this month, after I hit 30 lbs GONE, I actually had to put some of those new pants into the recycle bin. Yep….they were too big! So what I did, is I went out and shpped the sales and got an XL size cropped jogging pants. Those are my next goal. THey fit now, but the are literally skin tight. I am trying not to be a slave to my scale…I was weighing every day it felt like, so now I restrict myself to once a week…and boy is that hard. But I feel less manic about it now and can focus on creating a healthy relationship w/ food and changing how I eat forever and not just while on the scale you know? And I also had to buy some regular tshirt cause the ones I had were, (joyful glee) tee-hee, too big. THey looked like preggo shirts!!! And I ALMOST fit in a regular xl. almost! I will be so happy when I can get out of the big womans sizes and into the regulars!!! ANyway, I ramble. Stop by and take a look at my site…keep in touch and I will too. Goodluck!!!
