So Long…
It has been such a loooong time since I posted last, and I’m sorry to those who actually read my site. After many months of what I am going to call my “winter blues” (not that I was depressed or anything, just really unmotivated), I finally kicked it, I think. Last week at weigh in I lost 4 pounds. The first significant weight loss since November. As I was EXTREMELY happy, and felt this is it! Spring is here and I am more motivated, I can feel good about getting back to exercise (which I haven’t done since, hmmm, last July). However, I digress. This weekend was your typical disaster. I ate all the wrong things, and without thinking about it first. I didn’t journal all weekend, and now I’m sitting here with this whoa is me attitude.
However, I didn’t exercise BUT I did clean up my exercise space, so that I can. My daughters room is where I exercise, and a few weeks ago I decided I was going to paint her room, and try to move things around and reorganize. Well that didn’t work out too well, the shelving system I bought wasn’t feasible to her room. So the room has remained a disaster since. Even though I kept saying I was going to start exercising again, I really couldn’t until I cleaned up her room. So Friday, I went and bought a new shelving system, one that works, and completely cleaned her room, including throwing away a ton of old toys and such. So now I have a clean place to exercise. BUT this weekend was definitely not conducive to exercise time. And tonight immediately after work I have class, so my goal is to exercise tomorrow. 1 day is better than no days, right? Starting slowly and getting back into the groove. During the semester my time gets a little away from me, with working full time and classes, and homework, it’s really hard to find the time. But that’s no excuse!
Now, I have probably totally destroyed my beautiful weight loss from last week. But it’s a new day, and Thursday starts my new week, so we will make sure we try extra hard next week, with at LEAST 2 days of exercise!
I have only 11 pounds to go to reach my goal, however, looking at myself, I really don’t think 11 pounds is going to do it. I think I am becoming obsessed. Almost like eating disorder obsessed. I know I look a thousand times better than I ever have before. And losing 100 pounds is no easy feat. But I look at myself, and pick myself apart. Look at those thighs, they’re disgusting, or that stomach, you’ll never look good in a bathing suit. Don’t ever take your clothes off, you’re gross. Do you know what I mean? I think I need a shrink to help me accept myself and the wonderful things I’ve done for myself!

Excited, Renewed, Enthusiastic!
Well it wasn’t the 3 pounds that my scale read, but I knew that was going to happen. But I did lose 1.8! That feels great! Like I said I completely revamped my food choices, and that seemed to help. I knew, but rediscovered, that I am a carb whore. And analyzing my food that I eat during the day I noticed that I ate them all day. Cereal for breakfast, granola bar for snack, sandwich and chips for lunch, 100 cal snack pack for afternoon snack, and pasta for dinner.
The good health guidelines are there for a reason, and they work! I decided to change my food and still eat my cereal for breakfast with my banana, then my granola bar, but then yogurt and granola for lunch, a hard boiled egg white, a cheese stick, an apple, and a cup of grapes. Then whatever with a veggie and salad for dinner. Oh and a few cashews, with mini chocolate morsels and wasabi peas for a snack in there too. Dessert some ice cream (Breyers Free), gotta have my ice cream, no matter how cold it is outside.
So now, after 4 months of “maintaining” (but not trying to) I FINALLY am continually losing. 14 pounds to go and hopefully it’ll keep going. I am definitely enthusiastic about my renewed motivation and losing! I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it! LOL

Saddened…
I’m saddened to know that the people who read my blog (and by the way, Thank You!) don’t feel the need to help a very good charity! Everyone knows or has heard of someone who has had a child born prematurely. The March of Dimes is a wonderful organization there to help give us all healthy babies.
Now, of course, you are not by any means obligated to donate. But just think of what your few dollars could do to help someone’s (or your own) child that is born too early.
Every dollar counts! Yes and I mean that whole heartedly, even a dollar donation could make a difference.
So PLEASE, sponsor me and the March of Dimes!
Now, on to another note. I weighed myself again today, on my own scale (and I’m beginning to LOVE my scale) and it now says I am down 3 pounds! Now I don’t really believe this, but that would be utterly FANTASTIC!
I have been trying really hard this week. I have bought all different foods than I normally do! And I have been eating quite a few fruits and veggies, a heck of a lot more than I normally do. This morning I had a banana, an apple, and a cup of grapes. This evening some corn. That’s quite a feat for me.
Now I haven’t quite gotten on the exercise train yet. I’m still feeling really run down. But not as bad as last week. So I think that my thyroid medicine being off WAS my problem! Hopefully in another week or two I’ll be feeling 100% again.
School’s been a little demanding but that’s to be expected. But just another wrinkle in my time!

Good Times
I’m feeling really good about the past few days, and after grocery shopping today, the days to come. With the exception of today, chinese food…I had wonton egg drop soup (not so bad, point wise), but then I had a few of my daughter’s sweet & sour chicken. That was ‘Linner”, then for dinner, we reheated the same food, and again ate the same stuff. Maybe it won’t be so bad. We’ll see.
Weigh in probably won’t be that great, because TOM is in town. But I’m hopeful that my scale here will be in sync with the scale at WW, which means I lost like 2 pounds. Wouldn’t that be nice!!
I found these wonderful little treats ( although some may not be interested at all). I was at Wawa on Friday getting cigarettes, and as I was grabbing a banana I noticed these new pretzels. Whole grain, pumpernickel rye pretzels! I LOVE pumpernickel, so I HAD to try these! I opened them as soon as I got in the car, and they were super fantastic!
Ok, well, I’m tired and my contacts are so dry I think I may have to surgically remove them. Night!

In a rut…
I’ve been in a rut for quite a while now. I said before that I think my subconscious is sabotaging my weight loss. It’s like subconsciously my body says that I’ve lost enough and I’m doing well. But I still want to lose more. The problem is that I’m not getting anywhere.
I have reassessed my motivation, and the whole reason I came to WW, and I’m not eating badly or anything. But I’m really not TRYING that hard to keep going. It’s like I’m doing great at maintaining, I’ve been this weight since November, actually October I think.
It’s only 15 more pounds that I want to lose, but I can’t figure out how to get my butt in gear, and do it RIGHT!
I can ask for suggestions, but for some reason, I just don’t follow it. There are days I KNOW I’m over, but I keep eating. Granted it’s not BAD food, it’s a hell of a lot better than pre-WW.
I don’t know, I’m rambling. What do ya’ll think?

DAMN those evil munchkins…
One of my AWESOME customers comes in today bearing gifts (she always does; she has MS and survived cancer and is always happy and FUNNY like there is no tomorrow)! Anyway, she comes in with an armful of jeans for me, and plops down this box of munchkins on the counter. She says, “Don’t hate me! They didn’t have any reduced fat muffins so I brought you munchkins! You know I can’t come in empty handed!”
I tell her she’s evil, and proceed to eat them. 8 of them to be exact. Now, for those of you who don’t know, 4 chocolate glazed munchkins is 7 points. And I had 8! That’s 14 of my 22 points. What Carla doesn’t know is that munchkins are one of my trigger foods, I just can’t say no!
Once I went online to D&D’s and found out how much those munchkins put me back for, I looked at everything to see what is there I can have. So I came up with a french creuller (sp?) it’s only 3 points. And the vanilla latte lite, is no points.
So I emailed Carla and told her that the next time she feels like bringing me something from D&D to bring me a crueller and lite latte.
However, now, I feel I have just destroyed all my efforts for the week by being weak and giving in and eating those munchkins. I only had like 21 weekly points left, now I have 6 and already am over for my day. It’s only 4 pm, I still have to eat dinner.
