Yesterday Sucked!!!

28 03 2008

Yesterday was probably the worst dieting day EVER! What was I thinking! It all started out when I didn’t eat breakfast. I bought a pack of that “weight control” oatmeal to keep at work. It is gross and barely better for you than the regular stuff. I just couldn’t eat one more pack of it. I had 2 100 cal packs for a morning snack. For lunch, I brought some leftover halibet so I was quite proud of myself there. Except I had to run home at lunch and grab some stuff and for some reason, I thought I should also grab a honkin’ piece of cheesecake to devour later at work. (Which I did) And then, my friend at work’s husband surprised us with a big bowl of icecream so I went ahead and devoured that too! For dinner I had a margarita, tortilla chips, and a chicken flauta. NICE. OH, and I didn’t log anything in to WW.com Yes, I was on quite a roll yesterday. I didn’t even finish all of my water. I think I probably did about 40 oz which is better than nothing, but still awful.

Today is destined to be a better day. I had oatmeal for breakfast and 1 100 cal snack pack for a morning snack. Today after work marks the start of our camping trip. Wish me luck that I do well over the weekend!

Just a quick note…

26 03 2008

So far so good today. Oatmeal for breakfast. A 100-cal snack pack for a morning snack. A whopping 4 points so far. Wahoo!! My cold seems to be at it’s all time low which means I feel like crap. To top it off, my period started this morning.  I have come to the conclusion that I will not be making it to the gym this week. Between me not feeling well, and the fact that we are leaving Friday after work to go camping, there is just too much to do. So that is kind of depressing.

Allison and I have a new pact. We are going to call each other everyday at the end of the day to report back. I think it might help as she is pretty mean!!

Anyways, better get back to work. Oh, I just had to share a picture of my adorable niece! This is Chloe, 8 months on her first Easter last Sunday. Isn’t she a doll?!

Dieting is depressing

24 03 2008

I hate dieting! I’m not good at it. I have no will power. I am tired. I am sick. I am sore from the stupid gym and guess who is coming to town this week! Of course! I don’t know why getting a bad cold and periods seem to hand in hand in my body.

I feel like I am getting nowhere with  my dieting. Which, technically, I am not. I feel like I am eating better than I have in the past, still not the best, but better than normal and I haven’t lost any weight. August 22nd is not that far away. I wake up every day thinking “Today is a brand new day! I am going to be great today! I am going to do this for real!” And by noon, I am off track.

And now I am depressed! Dieting Sucks!!

I didn’t eat good all weekend. And I have not eaten well today. I had all these people over for Easter and made desserts. A pie and a cheesecake and then nobody stuck around long enough to eat dessert so now it is sitting in my refrigerator. Great.

Hello Everyone!

21 03 2008

I was just logging in my daily log in on WW.com when it hit me! My blog!! I haven’t blogged in…hmmm….I can’t even remember the last time I blogged. Do I even remember the site URL to log in to? Wow, this is bad! My WW peeps are going to hate me!!

So anyways, sorry for my little blog vacation. I seriously don’t know what happend. Just completely forgot about it I guess. Nothing new to report really. I was down 2 pounds this week from last week. Before you get too excited, I was up before that from my original weight. I’ve been doing pretty good this week though I think. A little screw up here and there but nothing too major! I’m hoping I will be down again next week but as TOM will be coming to town, I highly doubt that.

Found a new gym hobby. A trainer there suggested that I try this stair stepper. It’s not a regular stair stepper. It’ s more like a mini escalator that you climb. The trainer said it is their best weight loss machine at the gym. Anyways, besides a trainer, a friend also suggested it. She is up to an hour at level 8. She told me not to get frustruated if I can only do 5 minutes at a low level to begin with because that was how she started. (and coming from this teeny tiny woman sounded good) Well, I actually ended up doing 20 minutes at level 4 which I was pretty excited about. BEST WORKOUT EVER!! It was really hard but it felt so good when I was done. And it felt even better when I logged in to WW.com and it was 4 activity points for 20 minutes of exercise. I am going to try to do 20 minutes on level 4 for a week and gradually bump up the amount of time before I bump up the level. Pretty excited about that!

Nothing else to report really. Oh, I do have a question for anyone who might know the answer. “The Pill”. I have heard from numerous sources that it makes you gain weight when you go on it, and/or it makes it harder to lose weight. True? False?

Back from my hellacious week

3 03 2008

Time to get back on track. Last week was just crazy. I had to come home straight from work, and work on my scrap stuff for the show. Went to bed around 11 or 12 every night last week, which is beyond late for me. Thursday night I had to drive to the Convention Center right after work to help set up. Got home about 11:30 that night. Then, I went back right after work on Friday to work the crop. We went out to dinner after that. (Water and a little pasta) Got home around 11:45ish. Then went back in the morning at 8:00 and was on my feet until 5:00 when the show ended. (2 chipotle chicken tacos & a diet pepsi for lunch.) We quickly got our booth taken down and loaded in two hours. I don’t know how that heck we did that. From there, I went straight to a retirement party in Tualatin. (1 glass of red wine, chicken, veggies, a salad, & 1/2 a dinner roll) Got home about 11:15 that night. Was in bed by 12 midnight, but couldn’t sleep. I probably fell asleep finally around 1 but didnt sleep well. Got up the next morning, Sunday, Trevin and I went and had breakfast at Elmer’s (bad choice, I had eggs, hashbrowns, coffee, toast, bacon-a total okie breakfast) From there I went to my grandma’s in Salem for her birthday. We had lasagna and Salad. After that, went down to Corvallis for my precious Alice’s 3rd birthday where I had a small slice of cheese pizza, salad, and a glass of red.

WHEW! That was the busiest week of my life. Notice how I didn’t mention the gym anywhere in there. And, for dinner last week, we just kept grabbing something quicky with no room to cook.

Luckily that week is over and I can get back on track. I had toast for breakfast today. We can some japanese stir fry for lunch (not the greatest diet wise, but it was loaded with veggies) and two big bottles of water (at 24oz each) and to the gym tonight for sure!!
