Weight Watchers

Thanks to the suggestion of Danielle, I joined weight watchers online. I think it will be good to have a place to enter in all of my food and see how the points weigh out. I am doing the flex plan. One question, maybe someone out there knows the answer to, at the top of the screen on the point tracker page, it says something about Weekly Points. What is that? I have used like 9, what does that mean? Very confused! But so far, I like it. Danielle told me about some bride’s competition on the website, haven’t gotten so far as to check that out, but I will!

SORRY

I’m sorry it has been so long. Been a little crazy! I have been making it to the gym 4-5 times a week doing about 45 minutes of cardio each time and a little bit of weights. I haven’t weighed in since the last time I posted it on here. I think I am scared. But really, I like to weigh in first thing in the morning and I haven’t been going to the gym in the mornings. I have been going at night. I decided that I like my mornings too much to be getting up early and going to the gym. I will try to go Saturday morning and weigh in then. I have been doing well with my water and little by little, cutting the extra junk out. Although, I got an attachment to go on my Kitchenaid mixer that makes homemade icecream and Trevin made chocolate peanut butter icecream the other day. HARD to reisist.

On a better note, we all (me, my mom, one of my sisters, Allison, her sisters and two of their friends, plus we ran into Danielle, her sister, daughter, and mom) went to Brides Against Breast Cancer last Saturday and I found my dress! I am so excited! I just love it! And it was a lot of fun!



Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello All- Sorry it has been so long since I blogged. This week has just been crazy busy! Sunday night I went to pick up my favorite children at the airport. Then Monday was the horrible headache day. Tuesday and Wednesday I made it to the gym in the morning, but missed Thursday and Friday mornings. I may go tonight after work. And I plan to go Saturday and Sunday mornings as I am trying to get in 5 days a week of at least 30 solid minutes of cardio.

Why have I been so busy you ask? Well, I volunteered to make the programs for my sister’s high school basketball team and of course, procrastinated until the last minute. Their first league game is tonight and I just started the program on Monday evening. My mom is helping me with them so every night after work this week, I have gone over to my mom’s to work on it. It sounds like such an easy task (which is why I volunteered in the first place) but we ended up working on it every night until almost 11. Which means I was getting to bed until around midnight. That’s pretty awful for a girl who prefers to be in bed at 9! (lame, I know) So that is why I didn’t get my rear-end out of bed earlier Thursday and Friday mornings this week! But, from here on out, there are only a few minor adjustments that will need to be made to the program so it won’t be an every night type of deal and I can get back to my regular routine.

I have decided to add something else in to my dieting. I am going to try to count calories on top of making sure I am getting the correct amount of each food group every day. But I was wondering if anyone knew what the proper amount of calories is to lose weight? I’m sure it depends on height/weight, but I have no clue!

The Mondays

Not a good day so far. I had a muffin for breakfast with peanut butter. And if that wasn’t bad enough, I was still hungry so I went on for a second one! Yeah, good idea. I do much better on days that I go to the gym in the mornings but I had a terrible headache this morning (still do) so I didn’t make it to the gym today. However, lunch, I had a plain 1/2 turkey sandwich, banana, and yogurt. But then, I went ahead and polished off two pieces of hursheys chocolate! I don’t know what my deal is today!

 Have had 16 oz of water so far so I need to get to chugging!



Three days in a row!

I am very proud of myself! I have gone to the gym three mornings in a row now. I went Friday and Saturday, then skipped Sun, Mon, Tues (BAD!) but now I have gone Wed, Thurs, and now Fri morning and done at least 25 minutes of cardio each time. I am on a roll. And, I think I have been eating really well too. Plus, I have been very careful to get in all my water everyday. I must admit, I have been sneaking in a few pieces of holiday chocolate in the evenings. Oh well.

I weighed in today and was right at the same weight which was very disappointing. However then I remembered, (and how could any woman forget) that this is my “week of female  fun” and I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am ALWAYS up about 5 pounds during that joyous time of my life! Every single time, never fails! I’m annoyed.
