I purchased my first jeans in probably about two years.  I just couldn’t find any that I liked because I had gotten too chubby.  I’ve always stored most of my fat in my legs which is good in a way because I look thinner than I really am unless I wear tight pants or short skirts.  I’ve always had a small waist.  I’m so glad to be back into jeans.  I still probably have about 10 more pounds to go before they look great, but it’s definitely a start.  I’ve always loved the look of a solid girly colored shirt, jeans, and flipflops.  It’s been my summer goal to be able to wear this outfit and look cute.  I think I’m almost there.  The jeans that I bought are a little tight, but that’ll be good because I’ll get longer wear out of them.  I seem to be back on track with my weightloss, so it shouldn’t be long before they’re just right, and hopefully not too much longer until they’re too loose.  I also found two button up shirts that are cute.  Normally these never fit me because I have enormous boobs, and the shirt would be all stretched across the chest.  If I got a bigger size, then it would be baggy everywhere elese.  These shirts look great though.  They’re summery and will look great at work as well. Our local dollar store has really cute jewelry and I’ve been buying tons of it.  I have a huge collection of really cute pieces that only cost a dollar, and some of the pieces look great with my new clothes.  I’ve already warned my husband that the thinner I get, the more I like to shop.  He’s had it good because most of the time we’ve been married, I’ve been chubby, so he doesn’t know how much I can truly shop.   When we first got married, I was still somewhat thin, but we were completely broke because we were both still in college, so I didn’t have a choice. 

 We also found these sugar free mini brownies.  They are two points for 8 pieces.  They are more like cookies in texture.  At the first bite, they tasted pretty awful, but then they really grow on you.  The package says to put them in the microwave to make them softer.  I think doing that plus having some milk would make them even better.   I’ve been trying to avoid excess sugar.  I was doing really well until I discovered Edy’s icecream, but I’m still making an effort.  I also got some Matzo crackers.  My husband always does a Passover meal at our church and for some reason even though they don’t have much taste to them, I really like eating them with some grape juice.  I found some with tons of fiber.  One whole huge sheet is only one point.  I also have low sugar grape juice which is 1 pt per cup.  I also bought Tropicana light orange juice last night.  It’s put out with WW, so if you’re looking for it at the store, it says WW 1 point at the top of the box.  It’s pretty tasty.  I don’t know about you but ordering orange juice at a restaurant is always the best thing to me, and this has that same taste except it’s slightly less sweet.  If you can’t tell, I love juice, so this has been something I miss.  I’m still not a big fan of drinking my points because it’s not as filling, but it’s been a good occassional treat. 

It’s been a great day so far despite the rain.  I’m looking forward to wearing my new clothes to church tonight.  I will also be off tomorrow, so that’ll be good.  I just hope my kids don’t kill each other or drive the substitute insane.  I just remembered that I need to leave a note to keep two of my kids away from each other because they’ve been on the verge of getting into a fight.  That is NOT something I want to come back to on Tuesday.  Dear Lord, I should not have asked off!   I know everything will be fine, but these kids like it or not have become my babies even the annoying ones.  I can’t believe the year is almost over and I’ll be sending them off to 9th grade….well most of them as about 3 or 4 won’t pass.  Thank God that high school is in the same building or I’d probably cry.  I didn’t feel quite as sentimental about my kids last year. I was so busy thinking about a new job and getting my stuff packed up that I didn’t really have time to feel sad I guess.  I just didn’t get as close to my 7th graders.  I definitely think 8th grade is my grade.

Edy’s Chocolate Diva icecream is awesome.  If you haven’t tried it, you should go out right now and buy some.  It’s a half cup for 3 points, but it is more than worth it.  I really think it’s the best icecream I’ve ever eaten, and that’s counting my prediet days!  It’s cheesecake icecream with brownie pieces.  Has anyone tried the chocolate fudge kind?  I’m thinking about trying that next.  Got a favorite kind of low point icecream?  I used to eat Breyers light icecream, and it’s a little lower in points but still tasty.  It’s 2 points for a whole cup..I think..double check that because it’s been awhile since I’ve eaten it because I’ve been stuck on the Edy’s.  I also got the Edy’s Banana Split, and while it has a good banana taste, it doesn’t have anything cruncy or chewy which is a requirement I have of icecream. 

 My kitties are play fighting.  It’s so fun to watch. 

We ran by Wal-Mart tonight.  We saw the funniest thing.  This couple was having this all out fight over pinto beans.  The woman was all mad that the husband had bought pinto beans again and that he should really eat more of a variety things.  I wanted to keep listening, but I was scared I was going to bust out laughing, so I had to get out of there.  I mean PINTO beans..of all things to fight about.  I told my husband that the only thing I could think of a reason why you would possibly fight over pinto beans would be that maybe they gave him gas and she was tired of smelling it.   Who knows? 

 I can’t believe tomorrow is Friday.  This week has flown by.  Oh, and good news, as previously mentioned, my dad thinks he fixed the treadmill.  He is the miracle fix-it man.  I’m about to go try it out.

slightly better day..I’m exhausted though.  I hope to get to bed early tonight for a change.  I want to walk, but I may need to just go to bed if I’m going to make it through the week.  I’m taking Monday off, so that should be nice.  I’m hoping to lose a pound tomorrow, but we’ll see.  I really thought I would lose one this morning, but alas.

 I got somewhat organized at work.  I still have a lot on my to do list, but hopefully I’m on my way to feeling more relaxed.  Next year should be so much better because I’ll have all my handouts ready to go.  I’m excited about having another year under my belt.  Maybe I’ll finally know what I’m doing!

I’m having a problem in my class that my kids are too comfortable.  They don’t know when to stop joking around.  I end up having to be a total witch.  I hate it because the kids are really fun.  They just don’t know when too far is too far.

I had a horrible day.  I’m not really hungry, so I’m not going to finish my points.  The treadmill is currently broken, and I’m really sad.  My dad is going to see if he can fix it.  It’s very old, so I’m thinking it may not make it.  I walked for an hour last night and had really just started to enjoy the treadmill, so I’m pretty dissappointed as previously stated.  I also caught five kids copying homework, and it’s just very frustrating that they don’t take things more seriously.  I also had a long day..lots of talking because we discussed some things for an essay the kids will be writing.  I’ve also lost a stack of quizzes, and I just feel disorganized.  I’m feeling so overwhelmed.  For awhile, I just sat and cried.  I’m going to get some sleep, and hopefully things will be better tomorrow.  I better have lost a pound for not eating all my points!!  I might eat a snack on the way to bed.

I had a decent day.  I thought my first period class might go into a coma, but then my last period class as always was way too awake.  I was back down from the Chinese food fiasco.  I had told my husband that his mom was going to get it if I gained weight because of the food.  Lucky for her, I was back down….just kidding..sort of!  I had just hoped to be so much farther along by March..almost April.  I lost my Christmas weight fairly quickly, but since then, I’ve really only lost 7 real pounds of new weight. I’m hoping with my treadmill that I will speed up.  We found out today that we would be getting a good tax return.  It looks like our beach vacation will probably occur.  I was trying not to get too excited until I knew we had the money.  I need to concentrate on looking good on the beach…yeah right..let’s just go for looking better on the beach!  I’m going to try to log some more time on the treadmill as well as get some school work done, so I better go.

I found a few ideas and wanted to post them so I don’t forget them.  I got these ideas from the blog Confessions of a Chinese Addict by the way.

 Apparently, you can make brownies with a 15 oz. can of unseasoned black beans and they taste good.  Purree the beans and mix in with brownie mix.

2 POINTSper serving
Ingredients:
1 package Diet Swiss Miss Cocoa
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 banana
1/4 cup Grape Nuts cereal

Instructions:
Put all ingredients in a mixer. After mixing up, then divide into 2 servings by putting half of the mixture on one piece of aluminum foil then folding edges to keep fresh. Do the same thing with the other bar. Now put both in freezer and have for a snack anytime.
Yield: 2 servings2 POINTS per serving
-This sounds yummy and easy.  I’ll have to try it soon.
