Fight of my life

danger.jpg

This weekend has been the weekend of injuries.  I don’t know what happened but my poor family was jinxed.  It all started with an ice skating incident where my hubby took a bad fall and smacked the back of his head on the ice.  Instantaneous goose egg and whip lash.  Then my Mom fell down her steps yesterday morning and wrenched her back.  Followed by her boyfriend hooking a tip while skiing that resulted in a concussion with a mild case of short-term memory loss.  I’m telling you that’s three - we’re done!  No more incidents, please!

Why is it that events take place in three’s?  Have you ever noticed that?  I’m just thankful that my family was not seriously injured.  All three of those accidents could have been much worse than they turned out and I’m extremely grateful that everyone is in tact with quick recoveries on the horizon!  Whew!

On much less important note but back to my blog directive, my diet also took a dive for the worst.  Eek!  I gained 2 lbs over the weekend, it seems I lost all my sense as well.  I ate a lot of fudge, birthday cake, ice cream and failed to make wise choices overall.  However, I’ve decided that I’m going to follow the theme of things…  A quick recovery is on my horizon as well.  I’m not about to let one weekend of splurges turn into a full down and out spill.  I just need to get back on program and before you know it, I’ll be right back in the swing of things again.

So here’s to my family’s recoveries, to my diet recovery, and to all your recoveries as well.  Wishing you an OP day!  :)

My goodness! Your poor family. I guess it could have been a lot worse for any of them, but it was STILL bad for all of them! I’m so sorry to hear about the terrible 3 accidents!
You’ve got the right attitude of quick recovery. You’ll be amazed how fast it will be if you get right on the ball. Take care!

i’m glad to hear that these were all minor and that everyone is ok! and hopefully they’re all done!

ok…so the fudge, bday cake, and ice cream attack are behind you (although, i can’t say that i wouldn’t do the same if when faced w/all those yummy goodies!) and you’ll move on and be back in the swing of things!
