I am so excited! I promised myself that I could go purchase a new dress belt (size M - yeah for me) for work when I dropped into the 150’s at WI. Last week I finally managed this feat, I had plateaued at 161 for a over a month. At first the loss felt very unearned as I really hadn’t been motivated, focused, or diligent. However, I decided I made it - I deserve it regardless of what (or lack there of) that got me over this plateau!
Not to mention that Nordstrom had their anniversary sale. So it made things that much more attractive. After purchasing the belt, I decided to look at jeans as well. The 14’s I had been wearing were too big and were starting to look more like clown pants. I thought for sure I’d need a 12 but brought a 10 in to the fitting room just to see how much harder I’d have to work.
Guess what?! I went home with the 10’s! Down two sizes - wahoo! Talk about a shocker! I was so excited! I only bought one pair. I don’t intend to stay here long, these are just interim pants. I’m all about moving into the singleton jeans but it feels so good to be here! It’s the last time I’ll ever buy anything in the two digits!
I honestly didn’t realize how unhappy I was, how unhealthy I was, until now. It’s funny how slowly the weight, uncomfortableness, and the unhappiness will creep up on you. Now I can’t fathom going back. I boxed up all my size 14’s - hasta la vista baby! What’s amazing is that I’m even more motivated now! I’m all about keeping up the hard work as it really does work. The time passes anyway, might as well hang in there and keep it up! I found the end result is so gratifying. I feel so much better about myself - something that I haven’t felt for a long time.
Only 1.4 lbs left until my 10% goal! Yeah!

I’m glad you went ahead and rewarded yourself. My clothes is starting to get baggy so I need to start buying some interim clothes in a month or so…I’ll probably wait for after Xmas sales!!
