Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

So, we are under a winter weather advisory! I like snow~I just like it better when all my loved ones are safe and at home during the snow! Its all suppose to pick up at noon~I’m planning on heading out early to pick up the toddler, I hate driving in the snow~I’m a big weenie! :) I’ve been doing good on the points the last day and today (so far!) I was planning on lunch tomorrow with a girlfriend~are you all “good” when you go out for the occasional get together with an old friend?~I find myself being bad and then barely eating the rest of the day!~I need a balance!

  1. OOoh, I love winter weather. I dont’ even mind driving in it, despite my mom’s best efforts. Swouldn’t let me drive in it when I was living at home, wouldn’t even let me drive with my dad in the car to help me learn how to deal with it. Needless to say, that meant when it snowed when I was in college, I was right there with the other crazy drivers.

I’m terrible when it comes to going out, which I do once a week with some of the other grad students. I definately struggle with making the right choices on a set menu.

  2. Eating out and special occaisions are hard. Our WW leader made a great point the other day. With all the holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, get-togethers, special dinners and eating out with friends that we do, if you add it all together, it’s not so infrequent. So we have to be careful about letting ourselves splurge because it’s a “special” occaision. She suggested going ahead and striving to make good choices because another event will be right around the corner. We certainly don’t want to undo all our efforts! But I know it’s really hard to avoid the tempatations. I look back at when I ate out and made good decisions and realize that while I was wondering if it was worth it in moment to forgo the more fattening stuff, it’s really the accumulation of choosing the right thing that’s helped me lose so much weight.
