I’m unsure exactly how high my weight went…probably at least 148 or 149. The starting figures are as of 5/16/07.
Starting weight: 146 lbs
Starting clothing size: 8
Starting waist measurement: 30.25″
Current weight: 131.0 (4/19/08)
Current clothing size: 6
Current waist measurement: 28.0″
Weight lost: 15.0 lbs
Inches lost from waist: 2.25″
Weight goals:
1. Lose the first 10 pounds (Achieved: 2/9/08)
2. Go below 135 lbs (Achieved: 3/2/08)
3. Achieve a BMI below 23.0 (Achieved: 3/8/08)
4. Lose 10% of my starting weight (Achieved: 4/19/08)
5. Lose 15 pounds (Achieved: 4/19/08)
6. Reach the 120s.
Long term goal weight: 127 lbs
Goal size: 4/6
Ongoing goals:
–maintain my food journal even if I get off track
–Walk 10,000 steps every day
–drink 8 glasses of water every day
–spend at least 60 minutes every week doing some form of exercise other than walking (weights, hiking, stationary bike, aerobics, etc.)
Personal goals
–Do ten pushups in a row (not girl pushups)
–lose enough weight to buy a smaller size by the time my favorite pair of jeans wears out (they were fabulous, expensive, and snug when I bought them)
–Wear tanktops this summer
–Reach a point where I can look at myself in the mirror and say that I like my weight and size (I think this is the hardest one)

How are you doing on your 10,000 steps a day?

I’m getting there with my 10,000 steps. I track my steps on americaonthemove.org. According to that site’s handy calculations, I’ve averaged 9,665 steps per day over the last six weeks. I think my current average is probably higher…I’ve built up endurance since I started tracking steps, and I didn’t walk quite as much as normal during the holidays, so that dragged down my average a bit. I’m starting a new six week challenge on Wednesday…my goal is to have my “official” step average be above 10,000 by the end of those six weeks.
