Fitness and Exercise

After I got back from my 2 week trip, I committed myself to running a 5K in October. I’m aiming for either the 10/6/07 or 10/13/07. In April of 2004 I ran a half marathon, but did so at a pretty heavy weight. I’m looking forward to getting back into that kind of shape AND losing weight! I also ordered yet another set of Firm videos from an infomercial and will incorporate them into my workout. The time issue with working out is very hard for me. When school starts, I work all day and then come home to be with my family. The only time at night is when the baby goes to bed….but then I lose out on alone time with the hubby. I realize that exercise is 100% crucial to my overall health and definitely to losing weight…I will fit it in!!!

    I used to feel the same way about exercise… I acknowledged how important it was, but I wasn’t 100% into it because I didn’t want to sacrifice quality time with my hubby to get it, especailly after baby #2 was born. There came a time, though, when our “quality” time wasn’t really good enough because I wasn’t getting any quality time for myself. Scratch that… I wasn’t getting ANY time for myself. Recently I have made gym time “me time” and I end up killing 2 birds with 1 stone. I get some time alone away from the house and demands of 2 young ones AND I get fit all at the same time. Plus, the former reason keeps me motivated on nights when I have had enough crying, whining, sibling fights, etc. Sometime a gal just wants to GET AWAY!! :) Anyway, you’ll find your groove. It looks like you’re doing a great job with the videos and training. Keep it up! :)
