Thought for today:
You can be pleased with nothing when you are not pleased with yourself.
~Lady Mary Wortley Montagu (1689 - 1762)
I have a challenge for everyone today….we all are really good about telling others what we DON’T like about ourselves. What about the things you DO like?
Can you name 5 things you love about YOU? Here’s my 5!
1. I love my sense of humor
2. I love my eyes
3. I love my neck - call me crazy but I can really see my weight loss there!
4. I love being able to work out on the eliptical, I only recently started using it all the time, my feet used to fall asleep and I couldn’t get past 15 minutes, but I am up to 60-90! WOO HOO!
5. I love my experimental outlook on new things. I am no longer afraid to try new excercises or foods for that matter. I’m learning that new things are often better than expected!
I know this is hard to do. I was really struggling after number 3 but it’s worth it to look at yourself and make positive observations. After all, if you asked your kids or your hubby or friends they could probably rattle off half a dozen good things about you without any thought at all! So do it, you may be surprised by what you think of YOU!
