I went with my daughter this evening after dinner to give blood at our local Middle School. It’s for an organization she belongs to, marching band. It’s a great cause, but little did I know how woozie it makes you feel or how much taht damned huge needle would hurt. This no doubt has something to do with the fact that they had a hard time getting a good vein to draw blood from, and also due to the stretch marks that I have in the crook of my arm…

The other thing is they want you to eat and drink something afterwards, and all they had were sugary snacks…I mean SUGARY….cookies, brownies, mini cupcakes, mini powdered sugar donuts….punch, lemonade…I must confess I nibbled my way through most of the things I mentioned…and now feeling rather sleepy and VERY GUILTY!

I logged all of my points, and went over by a lot for the day…and dipped into my weekly already because I really only have a tiny bit of activity points for today and it’s only Monday!!!!

I wanted to work out afterwards but they tell you not to excercise for 24 hours. My guilt will have to wait a full day til I can start to work it off! Feel free to bash me…God knows I’m doing it as you read this….

I decided to look for a quote by this former first lady today because my 16 year old daughter is doing a speech and a poster on her for history this week.  I’ve been helping her find more on the web and she really is an interesting person.
