Losin’ It!

& learning to love ME!

Motivated Monday

Thought for the day:

There aren’t enough crutches in the world for all the lame excuses.

That being said, I’m starting my week off with a positive mindset.  I know I can do this…this fitness thing, weight loss can be mine.  It really is my choice.  I have made all of the same excuses that anyone else has made.  I still do when I am having a lazy day…and I admit to having more of them then I want or need to have!

I was packing my lunch this morning and making a mental note of how many points I was bringing along today.  I bring my breakfast and lunch and snacks.  I like to eat at night, and I’m a nibbler in the evening, so I try not to bring too much.  Not sure how to stop those hunger pangs at night…any advice?

I find myself having to really plan out what I will eat all week.  I like to know in advance, none of this wait and see for me.  I don’t really keep a schedule, but if I know now what I’m making tonight it saves me time.  Time is the one thing I feel like I don’t have enough of since I began going to the gym all the time….but before that I was heavily involved in my daughter’s marching band…and I will be again soon….

I have signed up for more to do with the band, the plan being to be as involved in it as I can (because it is really fun!! - I LOVE IT!), and to be out of the house and away from the TV.  I’m a couch potato if ever there was one, and I love TV.  I don’t really think there’s anything wrong with that as long as it doesn’t get in the way of being fit.

Anyway, I think I’m just rambling now…I am motivated to keep losing, I tried all my summer shorts on yesterday and couldn’t find any that fit…they are literally falling off of me and I think I will be doing some shopping soon.  A friend suggested I try a thrift store while I am still losing, but I think I’ll try a mix of new and used to get me through….

Does anyone have any suggestions that will help get through that “I’ve lost a lot but I’m losing a lot MORE” time?  My wardrobe is in need of serious help right now!
