My baby turns 1 today! Wahhh!!! Here’s a few sweet pixs from the past few days including last night at the Cheesecake Factory.

Our Little Family! (: Not the greatest picture of me, but o well…

My one year old! How is that possible?! (:

Natalee’s future husband! (: We were trying to get them to kiss, but Jackson only has eyes for the camera!

She got this dress for her birthday from Aunt Jennifer. After she grabbed Aunt Naomi’s cup of water and dumped it on their laps, she got to put on the new dress! I guess she just really wanted to find a way to wear it!
We have another party tomorrow with my dh’s side of the family. I will probably share pictures of that too, since I’m such a proud mommy! I’ll try to include a picture that kinda shows my weight loss if possible! Thanks for lookin and reading! I know these don’t have much to do w/ weight loss - however, - she is one of the reasons why I want to be in shape though!

Ok.. my theme is starting to get a bit cheesy. I am well aware (: Today I am going to go weigh in for my last time at Weight Watchers. Friday is my official last day of my paid pass, but there are no meetings Friday. I think I will go to the mtg. on Saturday and just weigh, unofficially, so I can have my last weight loss of a full week (I usually weigh Saturdays), and in the morning… as opposed to tonight, which might be up. And then, I’m on my own… dh said we can buy a scale and I am excited to go at this for a while longer and see these last few lbs GO AWAY! and then I can get preggo! (: Woo hoo!
Today I am babysitting (again) all day. I have an appt for dd at Tiny Gym at 6 pm so I will be going to the gym tonight. I really do hate missing a day. It’s just a drag. But I knew when I took on these 2 “day care” kiddos, that I might have to sacrifice my gym time here and there. So I’ll survive.
I have already started my day w/ some empty calories. There’s a reason (I told Allison) I CAN’T have ritz crackers in my house. I don’t stop eating them!

Me: Well… I honestly failed miserably in my own challenge. I have a lot to learn from it and that’s good. 1st of all.. I don’t do well when I tell myself I can have “NO” junk.. it tends to turn into an “all or nothing” battle. Once I eat one then I might as well just keep eating because I’ve def. blown the “nothing” part. That being said, it was so so so so so hard for me to not eat sweets. I would walk into WinCo and start drooling. At the dumbest stuff.. like a type of cookie I would never buy and would usually never interest me. My Junk Free Jan turned into a psycho sugar craving nightmare.
It’s amazing to me as I’ve spent the last 4 days on CORE.. that I’ve made contientious decisions to not eat junk,( besides my SF puddings (which I wouldn’t even allow myself during the JJFC)) because I don’t want to count the points for it, and NOT because I am depriving myself. I drink my sf hot cocoa and eat my sugar free puddings and for the most part, I’m content. And if I want to take a bite of a cookie, candy, etc… I can… and not go crazy afterward…. there’s no longer a need to eat the entire baggie! (:
Well that’s it… that’s my thoughts on all the reasons why I won’t be doing a Junk Free Challenge again… HOWEVER… that being said… there are other WW’s out there who found it very helpful to curb the crazy sugar fest they’ve been on. Either way… it’s def. a personal preference… each of you have to decide what works for you!
BigTickles says: that she has found the JJFC to be helpful… it helps her to choose fruits over sugary snacks… and when she starts on sugary snacks she just keeps going… so for her the JJFC was a good thing!
Jacquie says: Junk free January wasn’t junk free for me but still better than normal. I’ve began eating a yummy bowl of fruit in the mornings and yogurt for morning snack and I’m back at the gym again, this time with a personal trainer on Wednesdays. So it was good to go from lost to focused. Thats a big step for me so it wasn’t a waste of a month. I’m up for the next challenge.
Everyone else… didn’t offer an opinion in time to add it to this post! (: Happy February!

Well dh woke up at 2 am vomiting his guts out. I guess he got it from dd.
Unfortunately, his parents both got it from him and they were up all night puking as well.
This is a NASTY bug! There are over 20 people in my church who have had it and my Pastor threw up today during service, his daughter was at home throwing up, and his older daughter is now throwing up
such a drag! I PRAY PRAY PRAY that I don’t get this thing. I don’t even know how I could function w/ an active 10 month old and that bug!
So needless to say I am still heading to shopping this evening after evening service (I have to get to! play piano when my Pastor’s Wife is gone) and I am still planning on starting CORE tomorrow. (Against my will!) I spent some time yesterday researching it and looking for meal ideas, and it’s tough because I am such a picky eater! But I promised Allison that I would try it for a week or two.
I plan to write a reflecting journal in the next couple days on my struggle w/ the Jan-Junk-Free challenge… and just what I learned. I’m proud to hear that
- Boiler Chick is still going strong!
- LauraD struggled and then jumped back on track! Good for her!
- Bonita made some strong choices this last week and kept away from sweet breakfast foods!
- Kim has killed the binging track and made some good choices as she struggled with being hungry hungry hungry!
- Julie made a good choice to not binge on Mexican food when she went out to dinner w/ dh!
- Tania looks like she’s going strong, in spite of some nasty sinus junk!
I wish I had as strong of a week as these awesome ladies! Good work guys! I will post more about how I feel about his whole month… More to come! (:

The Great: FRIDAY: ran 3 miles! in 20 (oops) 30 minutes! skipped dessert at dh’s company party…. SATURDAY: My sister GOT ENGAGED!! chose low-fat at olive garden dinner…. SUNDAY: Started my day with oatmeal… Christmas play is ready to go!
The not-so-great: FRIDAY: Dh’s Company Party-way too many points SATURDAY: Dessert split w/ dh at Olive Garden, bites of his Cinnabon later SUNDAY: FLIPZ pretzels (see Allison’s blog… I’m sure she’ll explain whenever she finally posts…)
Well that’s my update on my weekend. Let’s just say that I have fallen down and I can’t get up. I’m sure WI tomorrow will kick my butt back into gear, just in time for our Girl’s Night Out w/ my mom and sisters… Christmas… [sigh] I’m doing bad, I know. I am making some good and some bad choices. I will have to deal with the consequences and work twice as hard to get OFF, what was so easy to eat ON.
