Here I am. Head hung down in shame.
Well… not really. I’ve been making some bad choices these past few days. Simply choosing to not eat core, just for the sake, that I don’t want to. Hmmm….. how do I feel? Not great. I think I am a little burnt out on CORE foods and I need some variety. Not bread, cookies, candy variety…. (which are some of the choices I’m confessing to…) but new healthy recipes and ideas, variety. I am going to spend some time here in the next hour looking and writing down some ideas… and hopefully have success in the near future (NOTE: grocery budget was a little out of whack this week so I may have to start start fresh on Monday, because I have to simply live with the food in my house for the next couple days).

I did well this weekend. Not perfect, no. But well. My goal was to eat my F&V’s, drink water, and work out at least once. Well I ate 6/8 F&V’s (used to eat none on the weekends!), I drank 10/8 waters (used to be 4/8 or so), and I WORKED OUT TWICE! Ya!

I slipped into a pair of shorts I wore on my honey moon. Granted, I’ve slipped stuffed into them before but today I just threw them on, buttoned them w/ ease and grinned at my toned legs in the mirror! (: Come on, I know you guys have done stuff like this before! It was exhilerating! I feel great! Yes, I have 10 more lbs to lose, yes, my stomach will never look like it did on that honeymoon, yes I realize that my chest is still 2 sizes bigger than it was back then (I’m nursing!) but it still felt great! Hurray for NSV’s!
Today I’m heading to my mom’s hotel to scrapbook and watch Law & Order… I need to go prep some food so I can be a success. [happy dance!!!]
P.S. Step Aerobics were WONDERFUL yesterday! I am sore today (that’s what happens when you haven’t gone in a week!) but it was still just great!

Today is the beginning of me diving back into step aerobics! Woo hoo!! I’m so excited to be back (heading there in about an hour!) DD is still about the same… she’s coughing and has a green nose… but seems to have a bit more energy and no fever! Ya for that.
I’m exciting because my mom is coming to town tomorrow and we are scrapbooking all day and watching the Law & Order Marathon (; Should be fun! I need a nice, laid back day…

**1st of all** Thanks for all the well wishes for DD and more sleep for me! (; She is on the mend (cross my fingers) and I’m planning on catching up on exercise and sleep this weekend!
Fell off the eating wagon yesterday at the inlaws. I ate too much chocolate. Came home had a sensible dinner. DH wanted Coldstone Icecream. I made a good choice there.. but it didn’t taste good and I wish I just wouldn’t have even gone. (Well honestly, last night, I wished I would have just gotten real ice cream instead of that fake stuff… yuck!
) Today is a new day… weighing in up .6 from 2 weeks ago… when I was almost sure I’d be down
I didn’t get all my water in yesterday and that def. had something to do w/ my WI, but it’s besides the point… I would have been down if I hadn’t eaten over my flex points and out of control at various points last week. Today’s a new day (did I already say that??!) and I’m doing well. I have some time to sit down and menu-plan (next on my agenda) and I plan to have an incredible OP week! So all you fellow bloggers, stay tuned! :8

Headed to the ER last night around 8:30 when dd’s woke up w/ a fever of 103 degrees. Got home at 2:30 am. She has RSV. I’m tired. I have to head back to the pediatrician here in about 2 hours for a check up since they want to monitor RSV very closely. I’m tired. Hopefully dd’s ped. will say we don’t have to come be checked every day because it’s a 45 min - to an hour drive each way. I’m tired. Amazingly enough, I didn’t eat one thing non-core yesterday (except a couple chips in my soup). I probably would have eaten anything available last night, but there was nothing available
So I did well in that dept.
I also went to a WW mtg last night, just because I was home alone, bored, and needing some positive thinking. I didn’t weigh, I will WI tomorrow like normal… but it was good to get out of the house and good to sit through a meeting
Here’s to a quick recovery for dd and me (I’m tired
)

Dh gave me a sweet gift last night: a darling coffee mug, a gift cert. to Starbucks, and a rose. Very thoughtful, simple, and sweet. I love it! (:
Still home w/ the sicky. I’m so tired of missing the gym. I was going to try to go last night but dd was having a meltdown when dh got home from church, so that plan went out the window. Tonight I am going to see if a friend will watch her for an hour so I can have some “me” time. Dh has school and won’t be home till 11 pm.

Jacquie: new habit: yogurt every day: ??? How you doing Jacqui???
Me: I’m getting my waters in like a mad woman! I’ve recognized what makes me fall off plan on the weekends and am adjusting to make it work for me. I worked out on Sunday! Woo hoo!
Tania (big tickles): new habit: set a menu of what she will eat -A work in progress! (: She’s doing well to recognize what makes her fall of plan and is adjusting! She’s making a menu of meals and snacks to keep her on track! Good work Tania!
Lacey Q: new habit: cook more using whole grains, fresh veggies, and lean protein. Lacey only ate one frozen meal last week! And she made a yummy dish! Good work (:
Laura (Fit & Healthy Mom) - new habit: eating yogurt instead of chocolate -seems to be doing well (:
Jacki (Not Just Any Girl) - new habit: exercise 3 days/week - she’s beat it by doing 4! Woo hoo! Go Jacki!
Kim (Kim’s Journey…) - Kim is giving up red meat and sweets for Lent: and avoiding Valentines day candy! WOW!

The Engine that Could - new good habit: one soda per day - she’s doing well and she’s upped her H2O as well to replace the sodas!
Christi (HavtaDropDaPounds) - good habit: walking at lunch - Doing great! She’s right on plan with this goal! Way to go Christi!
Bonita - New good habit: not having a sweet dessert with the meals all the time. Most of the time substitute with a mint, tea, or fruit. Bonita is right OP with this! She’s had self control and even just ate the nuts in the trail mix and not the chocolate! WOW! That’s self control! (:
Wedding Body Boot Camp (Jenna) - new good habit: working out and staying on plan on weekends! - Doing ok. Needs help to stay motivated! Visit her blog and send some encouragement her way!

Well today was still all out of whack due to dd’s cold. It’s so pathetically sad because her cough is all wet and in her chest and it just makes me wince when she coughs. And her cries are heartbreaking
Needless to say, I did not go to the gym, YET. Dh said that he would let me go when he gets home from church and he’ll watch baby. I’m home w/ baby missing church, and sad. I love our mid-week service because it keeps me going for the rest of the week… o well. maybe this way I will have a baby on the mend and I won’t have to miss any more church!
So I spent the 1st part of the day at the in-laws, where I tend to go into sugar-mania mode and eat and eat. I managed to stay, somewhat under control and I did make some good choices overall. I spent my afternoon on the go… at a Physical Therapy appt for my knees and then back home.. (about an hour drive), picking up a heart shaped pizza for dh for dinner (super cute!) and finally back home. I did well for eating on the go, and especially for eating from stuff I packed mostly from my MIL’s house.
