CORE Day 9

Back home… 10 flex points left… and today’s day 4 :-( I’d like to use 0 zero zip zilch flex points over the next 3 days or so, if possible (it’s a lot easier at home!)

EDITED TO ADD: I went back and added in Activity points for Sunday and today and I feel a whole lot better. I am starting today w/ 14 flex points, not 10, and I have activity points to add in today. (I always forget to use these! and this week I need them!)

I’m having a hard time today figuring out what I want to eat… just kinda a weird day. I opened a can of soup, it didn’t sound good. I started to make a salad. Ditto. I considered a bean burrito w/ ff cheese but I didn’t want to use a point on the tortilla… hmmm… so far today all I’ve eaten is fruit and veggies! Which is good… but I need protein too…

February Freedom Challenge! *Come Join Us* UPDATED TUESDAY

Well we are kicking off the second month of the new year with a new challenge/goal for all who want to participate! Click here to read the February Freedom Challenge (freedom from an old, unwanted habit)!

DID I MISS ANYONE????

Here’s the goals so far:

Jacquie: bad habit: fast food good new habit: yogurt every day

Me: bad habit: falling off plan on weekends good new habit: workout once/weekend (cardio preferably) 1) Eat all my fruits and veggies on Saturdays and Sundays 2) Don’t fall prey to bad eating habits just because DH is home 3) Drink all my water

Tania (big tickles): bad habit: mindless snacking good new habit: set a menu of what she will eat

Lacey Q: bad habit: convenience foods: frozen dinners, canned soups, prepacked foods etc. good new habit:  cook more using whole grains, fresh veggies, and lean protein.

Laura (Fit & Healthy Mom) - bad habit: snacking when not hungry good new habit: eating yogurt instead of chocolate

Jacki (Not Just Any Girl) - bad habit: skipping exercise good new habit: exercising 3 days/week

Kim (Kim’s Journey…) - Kim is giving up red meat and sweets for Lent

Allison (To Goal I Go) - bad habit: skipping exercise good new habit: : exercising 3 days/week

Gotta Have Faith - bad habit: eating free junk food at lectures and meetings. new good habit: Packing a healthy lunch every single day.

Core Day 8: It’s Monday

Started my week off right (yesterday) by doing step aerobics and today by doing group power! It feels good to be on track with exercise and I’m excited to see what my loss will be this week on my second week of CORE!

Bad news is… I am currently at “CORE hell” aka: the In-laws. How can I eat right here when my mouth starts salivating the moment i walk in the door?!??! You should see all the leftovers from yesterday’s super bowl party/ FIL’s birthday… YIKES! So far I’ve only eaten licorice (bad) and the lunch I packed for myself… o and a lean cuisine. I’m being good… it’s just TOUGH! More later…

UPDATE: I crumbled toward the end of the evening (I can kinda blame it on DH)… I asked for a bite of his icecream and he brought me a bowl, w/ 2 small scoops. WHY? WHY? didn’t I just get up and get rid of it??? Well… the answer, I suppose, is the reason we are all here… blogging and fighting w/ food! (; Here’s to a fresh day!
