Wednesday workout

Hurray! Back at the gym today.  Feels good even tho I missed my fav class. I spent about45 minutes on the EFX machine at a weightloss/cardio heartrate.. I kinda bounced back and forth between the two.

Tuesday

Today I ate at my best friend from high school’s house and they’re the kind of people that lived on deep fried chicken, real butter, and white bread sandwiches. As you can imagine, our lunch was costly in the point area. I only ate a 1/2 sandwich on white bread but I should not have put cheese on it, and maybe just a dot of mayo…. if any. [sigh] oh well… so my lunch alone KILLED my point count for the day. On top of that we come over to my inlaw’s house this evening and inspite of some self control, I managed to go over my point allotement once again. TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY and I will succeed. I”m starting with a nice workout and I’m hoping it will push me in the right direction for the next few days. It is so overwhelming when you are honest about how many calories are in each food item. Really mind boggling. If anyone who reads this doesn’t take the time to determine the caloric value of the foods they are eating (or the point value) I recomment sparkpeople.com as a resource for calculating points. It is EYE OPENING.

On a roll…

well today’s weigh in was so encouraging!  I called my mom in Disneyland and told her she owes me 2 months of weightwatchers for my birthday cause I reached my goal! (5 lbs by the 23rd)  I’m almost at a 6 lb loss already!  Someone at church yesterday asked me if I’ve been loosing weight! Feels so good (:  Today I’m at my mom’s house/ sister’s house and it’s easy to not eat.. cause there’s no food!  I brought some stuff to munch on and my sister has lean cuisines in her freezer… how could I NOT succeed today?!  The only drag is when I’m out of town I miss the class that I love at the gym. Group Power. It’s an hour of weight lifting set to music and in sync with everyone else.  Partially aerobic and part anaerobic. It’s great.  Yesterday I did 8 min abs, buns, and arms with a friend and I can FEEL IT today!  wow. I love being sore when it’s for a good reason.  I remember when I was pregnant, I couldn’t wait till being sore was a good thing! ha!  Well I’m excited to see how much I can lose before my birthday!  Hurray!

It feels sooo good to succeed!

I jumped on the scale this morning, with a little trepidation… knowing I haven’t eaten the best, but also knowing that I’ve stayed within my point allotments overall. New reading: 164.2! Down 5.8 total and down 3 (apx) from my last weigh in! Woo hoo!

The Hobo Spider that made Natalee fall off the couch

Yep. That’s exactly what happened.  Hobo spiders have chosen to infest my house and in spite of $1600 invested by my landlord last week to exterminate them, last night, one ran out from under my dear 6 month-old’s toys as I was moving them! YIKES! I do not want one of these nasty things biting my dear daughter.  My dh cornered the darn thing and I rushed to his aid, leaving dd unattended a moment too long.  Tho she can not roll over yet, dd ended up using gravity to aid her in her tumble to the floor.  My poor baby!  She bonked her head on the coffee table on her way down and I didn’t even see it happen. SIGH. So here I sit, typing today’s journal entry, with Natalee sitting on my lap, the red bump glaring up at me as a sad reminder.

Ok, I know that had absolutely nothing to do with my weightloss journal.. but I thought it made a great title to today’s blog. And I figured I couldn’t title my blog and not at least share the story.

So, now on to my day.  I honestly, haven’t done that well today… only 1 fruit/veg and very little to be proud of. BUT I have stayed w/in my point allotment thus far.  A friend of mine went with me to a small festival in honor of Mexican Independence day in a near-by town… another friend of mine has a little boy with Leukemia and they were selling food in a booth to raise fund for Gavino.  I had yummy corn-on-the-cob, with butter and parmesean cheese (YUM!) and a half of a taco.  I feel like my “slump” yesterday produced a hangover affect.. I WANT CRAPPY FOOD!!! like I had yesterday… [sigh]…. BUT - I will get back on track and keep my weight loss from last week. I have 8 days to lose 2 more lbs and maintain my 3 lb loss.  My mom is buying me a 1 month pass to WW -UNLESS… I lose 5 lbs by my birthday, and then she’s buying me 2 months!  So it’s a pretty good incentive.

Well… it’s 7:19 pm and if I can stay away from food the rest of the night, I’ll be ok.  I just need to get something good to drink, like coffee, to tide me over.  WISH ME LUCK! (:

I made it!

Well I made it thorough the night… 13 flex points to spare!  We had friends over for dinner tonight and I did well with self-control for dinner and I used a bunch of my flex points on dessert and that was ok with me!  I’m heading right back on track tomorrow with very little - to - no use of my flex points for the remainder of the week. I weigh Tuesday morning and my mini-goal is to have 5 lbs off by my birthday, the 23rd.  3 down, 2 to go.  I must go visit a friend’s blog (someone I talked into joining up here with me “allisonbr”) and then I MUST go to bed.  I’ve had a sick baby and I need my sleep!
