This is a good sign
I was so excited to get a few comments on my first post. Thanks to those who commented.
I am on day 2 of trying to figure out what and how the heck to lose this weight. My problem is that when I concentrate on losing weight, then I am constantly thinking about food. I need to get the idea of food out of my head. Anyone have any ideas on how to do that? I have upped my water intake. I have some flavored water that I am really enjoying.
Also, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and unorganized. I am going to try to work on getting organized in other areas of my life and then maybe some other things will fall in to place.
Have a great weekend everyone!
When it comes to food, you need to sit down and plan out your meals. Take time on your day off to go over what you’re going to eat for the week. Make a list of what you need to buy, what you need to cook, etc. That way you don’t need to think about the food, you’ve already done that part.
I make all of my weekly lunches, for example, on Sunday so I can just grab them and go without panicking about it at work. I make sure I have enough eggs or oatmeal for breakfast and I don’t have to grab something on the way in. I also count up how many ingredients I have for dinner to make sure I have some fish, chicken, shrimp, etc. and don’t have to worry on those nights I get home late.
It really works to set up your surroundings so nothing tempting is even in your house. Sounds strange and believe me, it’s hard to get used to, but if you just hang on to that thread it WON’T break and you’ll get through!
Good luck!!
I agree w/ the PP… get rid of the stuff that temps! My dh loves to have a treat in his lunches and I used to make him homebaked cookies and stuff… but I can’t handle that. I EAT THEM! So I stopped. Now I buy him a type of cookies that I don’t like… that don’t tempt me, and we’re both good. He gets his treat… and I don’t! (:
As far as hunger goes… eat small healthy meals often. When you feel hungry, eat an apple… it’s tough cause we’d rather reach for chips… but pair your apple w/ peanut butter or a few slices of cheese… so you’re getting some protein that will fill you up! (: HTH!!
