Some people do the Wendy plan where they eat different amounts of points each day. It's supposed to speed up your metabolism. I'm not sure if it's really legitimate or just a fad. I don't think I could do it because I get used to my set points each day. Just keep going, and it will pay off eventually!

Aug is just around the corner, just think how fab you'll look for Xmas this year!

Last week, I weighed the same weight as I had nine days ago! I, too, was frustrated by the plateau. Here are some of the things I heard: Change it up! Switching to Core does eliminate the much-maligned "white foods". Are you journaling? What aren't you writing down? Plateaus/ slower losses are normal. Lower sodium/increase water. yadda yadda...
I guess the main thing is to stick with it! Don't be discouraged! Maybe your deadline for goal is un-realistic, maybe you'll best it! Who knows? the important thing is getting there in a healthy, positive way.

Thanks for the comment. As far as searching for birth parents, it definately has to be a decision a person has for themselves. I have had people nicely urging me to do it for years, but until I finally decided it was time for myself to find out I wasn't interested. I pretended i was, but really I wasn't. I even had the application all filled out, stamped, and sealed, but kept it on my desk for several months to make sure I was "ready"...that's just how it was for me. I would just say to be supportive of your friend, but not pushy.

As far as your Weight loss goes, I think its terrific. You've lost a lot of weight, and your body may just be adjusting to its new weight. You are still losing so its not truly a plateu, but I would suggest switching it up a little. Shock your body with different foods, different exercise, it'll respond. Make sure you are eathing the 8 healthy guidelines with lots of fresh whole foods and lots of fruits and veggies!

I've tried Core before and I liked it, but I didn't lose on it like I on Flex. I really think it is because I overdid with the healthly foods. I agree with you that I do better tracking points. However, I think that eating Core foods and tracking would definitely help you to lose quickly! Good luck!

Sometimes our bodies just hit plateaus and it's extremely frustrating. You've done an oustanding job and yes, trust me people would love to have your weight loss, lol. But I know it can be hard when you are used to seeing a certain number and suddenly cease to. My advice would be to COMPLETELY change up your work outs. Chances are you probably have a routine that you do everytime you work out and your body is used to that routine, it's not really being challeneged anymore. Change it all up and I bet you you will start to see results again. Good luck!

Hi Bonnie,
My name is Ian and I work for Select Comfort, the creators of the Sleep Number bed. First of all--Wow! 51 lbs.??? Kudos. I began WW in August too and I have only lost 28 lbs. But there are admittedly times when I don't exercise or eat right so I only have myself to blame for my slow progress. I have heard that is easier for men to lose weight but there is definitely no accounting for will power, or lack thereof!
I was really happy to read that you have finally bought the Sleep Number bed you wanted. I want to get the word out about a website we created called beds.com that enables everyone to read about, write about, and comment on experiences with our product. I encourage you to share your thoughts and tell others how the bed has performed. If you have any questions or if you ever need help with the new bed, please email customerservice@selectcomfort.com or call 800-472-7185 anytime.
