2008 Q1 Goal Review

Here is my review.

  • Continue blogging and treating this new journey like I have been. - I’ve slacked a little bit but I am still here, right?
  • Lose 10 pounds (based on trend from last year and what I have going on this quarter)  - Have lost 4.2 pounds so far.
  • Workout 3 x week for at least 30 mins each workout - Slacker!  Need to figure out how to get my workouts in.  Focus. Focus. Focus.  Have to lose the few pounds that are left for the quarter!
  • Complete Six Sigma Certification - In progress.  It is going to be a stretch to finish by the end of the quarter but I’m working on it.
  • “Get back into” work - Check.  Have been more “into” work.  But, when that happens, something gives and my working out has given a little. 
  • Go to sleep early/wake up early - hmmm…have started to slack here.  Last night went to sleep really late and I just couldn’t get up.  Good thing I am seeing this again.  I’m going to bed early tonight.
  • Send birthday cards on time and call people for their birthday (I’ve gotten really bad at this!) - Haven’t sent cards but have been calling!
  • Reduce paper clutter by filing bills as they flow in filing and shredding other paper (have to buy the shredder first!)! - Getting better.  Maintaining bills in one place and piling up papers that need to get shredded!  Need to take a day off to file all the other paper from last year!!!

Monthly Review of Overall Goals

My last review was through January 29th when I weighed in at 223.2.  Today I am at 220.2 so I have lost 3.1 pounds this month (and 1.3% of my total weight).   In total I have lost 23.3 pounds and 9.6% of my weight since July. 

I will get measured this weekend and will be able to report how much I have lost in inches.

Measureable Goals:

  • Monitor goals every month via a posting - Check.  March 26th (I will be on vacation at our family reunion so not sure yet how I will do this.  Might have to wait until Friday March 28th).
  • Weight Goals 
    1. Lose 10% of starting weight (24.5 lbs) - 219 lbs - I am >< close!  I am .4%away!! 
    2. Break 200 - I will be working on this goal soon.
    3. High School lowest - 185 lbs. (lowest after losing 50 pounds on Optifast to look slim for Prom)
    4. Stretch goal (at least feels like it right now) - Get to 170 pounds
  • Track my points - I have been a little less consistent but I still do this most of the time in paper.
  • Drink at least 12 glasses of water - I definitely hit 8 - 9 but not always hit 12.  The good thing here is that I don’t drink anything but water.  It is RARE that I have a soda.

  • Workout - Slacker!

  • Get out of “Obese” BMI level (179.9 lbs = BMI of 29.9) - Starting BMI = 40.5; Current BMI 36.6 vs. 37.1 in January.  

Non-Scale Goals:

  • Fit into size 16 pants, shirts, and skirts I haven’t been able to wear - This is oficial now.  The pants that I have been wearing are soooooooo big now.  The pants that are my gauge now fit and are wearable in public (now need to get the hemmed).  
  • Buy size 14 clothes - Here is where I will go next!
  • Be comfortable wearing a shirt tucked in
  • Buy clothes at a non-plus size store - I am going to start considering this one in progress.  I am fitting into clothes that was given to me purchased at Target that is not Women sizes.  My goal here is to buy 100% at non-plus size so not checking this one off yet. 
  • Have someone notice who does not know I am on WW - I have gotten more compliements.  I posted about them here the other day. 
  • Walk up the stairs to the 12th floor in my condo building without being winded - I haven’t tried this.  Need to see where I stand.
  • Do 45 bent-leg push-ups - per Dr Oz, the average 30-year-old woman should be able to do 45 bent-leg push-ups (and five fewer every following decade of her life). - I haven’t tried this.  Need to see where I stand.

Measurements

As of March 2008, I am down another 4.75 inches. Since she started measuring me in September 2007, I have lost a total of 17.375 inches!! I have lost the most in my upper chest (-2.5′), waist (-2.375′), and hips (-2.5′).
