Slight setback…but not
I think that what I am going through is part PMS and part bad habits creeping in to take advantage of the situation. Yesterday I went to a party with the girlfriends and I made Roni’s zucchini pizza bitesand the Hot Artichoke-Parmesan spread (.6 pts per tbsp) that Swizzlepop recommended. Both were very good and a hit at the party. Problem: I didn’t bring my own chips for it since my friend had bread and Tostitos already. Other problem: I kept eating it and eating it. Counting the points today (because I didn’t write down anything I ate yesterday)…I discovered that the point value is quite low but the Tostitos killed me. They were bite size so I ate and ate. :-( TOM is coming next week so I have been more hungry.
Although my dinner last night was a setback…(because let me tell you that I was feeling like a failure so today I totally gave in to eating fries for lunch!)…it totally was not. Reasons:
- My friend that brought apple cider gave us the option to have it with caramel and whipped cream or just cinnamon…I went for cinnamon only. Yay!
- Although I munched on the sweet trail mix with cranberries/almonds/and white chocolate chips, I only had the cranberries and almonds. Yay!
- I didn’t have a second helping of potato salad. Yay!
As I said earlier, I started today feeling upset at myself and having fries for lunch with my chicken sandwich. I should have ordered the salad since it didn’t come with fries but, no, I went for the sandwich because I think I have to admit that I was looking forward to the fries… :-( PMS!
I do have to say that this morning I could have had more ham but I only made ham and eggs for my brother and had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It wasn’t sodium but I did have it with the leftover french bread…damn PMS!
Okay, I am going to stop dwelling on this and get to studying. It is already going to be 5pm and I have yet to study this weekend! Ach! Ack! Ach! Call me PROCRASTINATION QUEEN!
Hope everyone had a good weekend. I’ll be back to post my menu for today. I am going to go write it down now because I haven’t yet!

Slight setbacks are obnoxious, but you really do have to remember that it could have been worse! Sounds like you did pretty well, all things considered.
I’m new to the weight watchen community, and I’m always so impressed by how constructive and positive you veterans always are.

You’re always so good about admitting when you went a little over. It sounds like you had a great time with your friends and tried your best. Just remember to make your own chips next time and you’ll be okay.
I hate PMS because it also makes me crave salt. I try and balance it with EXTRA water because I haven’t figured out how to deal with the salt cravings yet. Keep working out, I know you can do it, and hopefully things will balance themselves out.
