Happy New Year!
There’s been a few changes around here and I just wanted to make sure everyone was aware.
I’m a fan of lists so here goes…
- Did you notice a change on the main page? I’ve added a list of blogs to the top that may be in need of support. How do I know? Well, I don’t really but the blogs I’ve listed are ones that haven’t been updated in about 2 weeks. So maybe they need a little encouragement. Stop by a few and leave a comment if you have time you never know you may help that person get back on the wagon!
- I did it, I suspended any blogs that haven’t been updated since October. I think it’s really important to keep the community strong and active so participating members don’t get buried under a bunch of old blogs that have been abounded. If you had an old blog and would like me to un-suspended just shoot me an email at support@weightwatchen.com.
- We’ve had a few new bloggers sign up recently (more then normal) and I wanted to welcome them all! I’ll be out an about to check out all your cool blogs this week. If you are new make sure you check out and comment on some of our veteran blogs, this way they know you are here and can offer support! This older post about blog writing may be of interest to you.
- Please comment and let me know if you are having any problems with the community. I know Bonita mentioned something about links opening up in a new window that I still have to look into. I’m also consider changing hosting companies so we can get a better performance. Is the community responding slowly for you guys? Please comment and let me know if will help me make some decisions.
- Just a reminder if you want to stay updated on the community posts and message boards you can subscribe the RSS feeds.
- I announced a contest giveaway on my blog. Now that you all have blogs, you are eligible to enter! How cool is that?!
Not sure if this is totally related but I know that when I add links to my blog I set it to have them open in a new window. Could that be what Bonita is talking about?
Thanks for always keeping us up to date. I was wondering how you choose the bloggers who may need support.
Roni, noticed that in the Home Page the title in one of the sections says “Recent Commet” instead of “Recent Comments”.
Also, think that Swizzlepop and I are talking about the same issue.
When I have my links open into a new window, they do not. They open in the same window. Is this what you are referring to?
